Knowledge of Coasters, Amusement Parks, etc.

What is DPMAN?
I just know I love coasters. I found this site in a quest to learn more about coasters. I'd rate myself as a 1-2.
Between 1 & 3 for me. I don't care what I'm rated, I just like riding them. That's me being honest.

GTTP is Guide To The Point, the sister site to Coasterbuzz. Devoted entirely to Cedar Point.

I'd be a five or six, I know a lot about certain parks and ride manufacturers, but there are many I'm clueless about. Many coaster fans devote their attention to a few parks and limit their knowledge to them. I'm one of those people.
After countless hours figuring a formula to derive my knowledge, I'm a ...6 or 7. Seven of nine: are you a 7 or a 9?? Point is, we should measure fun and stomach weakeness, not knowledge. I know why g-forces affect our bodies differently because of HS and college physics and anatomy courses, but some people don't have a clue. So what...they have a great time riding them, thus a one is the same as a nine in my book.

There's nothing like a woodie...
5 I know some stuff but i am constly learning new stuff. (but i still need to learn how to spell)
I would call myself a seven or eight. I know everything there is to know about Cedar Point, because i live right near it and go there very often, but my knowledge of parks not in my area is not all that great, i know the general information about them but i dont know the nitty gritty details. I also don't know much about the business and industry of coasters, that is probably because i am only 14. But even know i am pretty knowledgable i still have much to learn
I'd give myself a 5 or 7.
I get all the different names of the same invertions from different companys mixed up from time to time.
I am a big 0!!

I would give me a 8 out of 10. But before I joined coaster buzz I was 6 out of 10. *** This post was edited by Andrew on 6/11/2000. ***
People are being pretty honest!!!!

I don't see how anyone can give themselves higher than a 7, unless they are a mechanic who works on a coaster or works directly for a coaster manufactuerer. I mean, unless you are the one designing or maintaining the rides, how much can you really know about the innew workings of a roller coaster. We are all 10's when it comes to enthusiasm and enjoyment about coasters. The fact that we actively search out info about coasters and their workings really does not mean that we are qualified experts in the field. I don't mean to step on any toes, it's just my 2ยข on the subject. By the way, I am a 10! Just Kidding, maybe a 3-4.
