Knott's Silver Bullet

I do hope so. Its one of those cool unique things that are important to KBF, in my opinion.

And now that I think about it, I think that SB will probably stay well above the ground and water level most of the time, so yeah I hope that keeping the Walter K was part of their plan.

Man, once again KBF gives me another reason to LOVE it. It has always been my favorite park in SoCal, and with this addition (I don't care what the stats are ... B&M is all I needed to hear :-) it will surely remain so...

I hope it's not going to be one of those latter day quick-to-the-parkinglot "we-need-to-have-nr-16-fast" B&Ms that rattle&shake.
But they seem to have taken some care in planning something unique and special.
I can't wait.

superman: you have no idea what you are talking about. SFMM or KBF has no part of the fabrication of the ride. B&M is B&M. And if you think Scream is too rough, get a life.

The AT stats sound pretty good though (regardless of accuracy). Sounds very Talon-ish but with 2 more inversions. That's a very good thing. Screamascape has those stats up too as fact. There's some serious misinformation circulating if those are off.

For the record Talon is another B&M invert designed to run 2 trains, Gomez.

I think the GENERAL consensus is that if the coaster does not have a MCBR (ala BTR, Talon, TG:TJC), then it just have two trains.

Brian, who has been wrong before, but doesn't think so this time.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the boat (and the small train too..don't forget about that!). I could be wrong, but unless they are getting real creative with this layout, I'd expect the boat to go too right along with the Church (already gone now from what I've heard)

Reason 1, this coaster is going to need some room and that turnaround waterway for the boat takes up a fair amount of space (by KBF standards). I've also heard that this ride would travel near the front gate...basically where the stroller shop is, and the loading dock for the boat ride and the turnaround is right behind the stroller shop. And if that space is not used for the coaster, I'm sure they'd like to have more Camp Snoopy expansion room.

Reason 2 -the aforementioned clearance issues. I suppose the low parts could be in the middle of the lake with the boat going around it...or the boat could be re-routed somewhat I guess, but again, even with the Church's removal, we aren't talking about a whole lot of space for this large of a ride. It's going to be tight.

Reason 3, The drawbridge for the train...that would have to be cleared as well.

I'd really like both the boat and train to stay, but I'm just not sure that the boat can. I think the train could stay though. It's why I really really want to see the layout of this ride. Probably the most I have ever wanted to see. I'm really curious how they are doing this. I wonder why they haven't announced the details yet?

I still don't know how it will fit, though it's hard to tell how much room there is without a good arial photo. I hope they eventually get more land somehow, but that seems a ways off. I think everyone should be glad anyways as long as it's not a shuttle and or launched (plenty of those in the park already) :)

From what I hear, the Walter K will stay... but it may be 2006 before it is back running again.
Here is the logo, plus the actual stats for the ride, which are a bit different than what was reported by Amusement Today.

That doesn't sound right. How could the loop be 106 feet and then the drop only be 109ft??? The stats have got to be off for the initial drop. Maybe I am just missing something here but that just doesn't sound right to me.
I take it to mean that the loop is 106 feet above the ground level, rather than 106 feet above the first drop.

I think that made sense, but I'm not sure.

Is Coors Light the official sponsor for this ride?
So I'm taking it as 146' lift, 109' drop (putting the base of the vertical loop at 37' above the ground) into a 68'ft (from base of loop to top of loop) vertical loop? That's a pretty damn small vertical, I can see this ride progressively getting faster as it continues on its course.

Just a guess!

37' above ground is a pretty high. I would just guess that the figures are off a bit.

Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

Yeah but don't forget it is going over a LOT of stuff I guess. Also, people "who are in the know" (lol to that) say these stats are correct. Guess we just have to wait and see what Knott's says when they "officially" announce it.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm a little "undewhelmed" and pretty dissapointed in the logo. I guess I was expecting something a little more "flashy" but whatever, I guess it will work. I just hope Spinning Dragons' logo isn't THAT plain.
Yeah, I'm not too big on the logo either, but whatever. Everything I've seen and heard about the ride makes me think it could be one of the best B&M Inverted Coasters yet, and thats what counts.
