Knott's "rushed" installation of Monte???

rollergator's avatar

I held off as long as I could....if anything WAS "rushed" at Knott's, perhaps management could teach the ride ops a little something about speed (or even "efficiency") for that matter.....Monte is AWESOME, and I could've ridden the back seat for a loooonnnggg time had the Con not ended.....hands UP, folks!

bill, saying I liked the back seat hang-time on Monte *about* as much as that on S:TE

edit: "bort" is a word that has been WAY too long in finding its way into my vocabulary...thanks!

You all know that an anuyeurism can burst by walking down the street or even sleeping. Saying that the coaster contributed to the death is just a way to use slander.

Second, why does this woman have an alias?

Big question is if Monte is cleared to run...all its certificates up to date. If not, then I can see the problem.

I just do not believe the attorney, because any judge with a brain will realize that anything can trigger an aneuryism to burst...ANYTHING. Walking, coaster riding, driving, sleeping.

The only thing "rushed" is compensation to the deceased.

The lawsuit seeks an unspecified amount of money for medical and burial costs, for lost future earnings

Lost future earnings? Go figure.

Ok lets look at the stats and pretend we are presenting this to the judge. . .

How many Suttle Loop Coasters were manufactured? About how many people estimated of course have riden on one of them? How many of those people got injured let alone died due to the ride? The numbers are in the coasters favor don't you think

Aughhh look out there are Mice all around

What is the average income in Africa. 3,000 a year? LOL, Knotst won't lose much IF they win, which I feel is unlikely, though I feel the PP woman will win, I still feel it was the fault of those immature PP ride ops who did it (and they still are Immature--popping a ballon in the station because it floated in from the snoopy show, scaring the guests, and then leaving the stuff there is not mature at all.

So they rushed the installation of MR causing one person in 24 years to die. That's a bunch of s***.

And I'm so sick of them saying that there was no warning. There are usually always warning signs at rollercoasters and if there isn't then people should know it's a rollercoaster and it might be a risk if you have a health problem. And a person is dumb enough to not know that they don't deserve to ride a rollercoaster.

Six Flags, the only chain of parks that can manage to have stacking with a one train operation.

Suing for money is not just a way to get rich, it does provide funds for actual costs including medical expenses, lost income, and paying for the lawyer. It also provides a strong incentive to businesses to be safe. It is unfortunate that the system is often abused by people who are just looking to profit.

In a different vein, I can just see the warning sign:

CAUTION: IF YOU HAVE A SERIOUS MEDICAL THAT YOU DON"T KNOW ABOUT; RIDING OUR RIDES, EATING OUR FOOD, OR WALKING IN OUR PARK MAY CAUSE YOU TO DIE.

Is this the same lawyer the fat guy is using to sue the fast food companies?
What is this world comin to?

I am thinking of petitioning for a state law that contends a rollercoaster must go through no fewer than 50 years of tested before any rider can ride it. Monte is just half way there.

PS - That was all sarcasm if you didn't get it.

My other car is now an Arrow X4D!

"Since McDonalds paid up two million for for some dumb ass spilling coffee on themselves, everyone has decided that no matter what is going on, they can sue for it. Look at the guy suing the three fast food chains for making him fat.

I wish people would take responsibilty for their own actions instead of blaming it on anyone they can. If you didn't know the coffee was hot, then you are just stupid. (back then, who served coffee cold?) How can you blame fast food restraunts for making you fat? You paid them to give you food, they didn't force you to eat. How can you not know that you can get lung cancer along with a whole array of other ailments from smoking (and I realize this issue is a little more involved due to the deception of the manufacturers. I am in my mid twenties and have known since I can remember that cigarettes will kill you) Next thing you know, drunks will sue brewers over destroying their livers...or has this already happened?

Sorry to have gone off topic so far there, I just hate that we are living in a society where it is ok to blame everyone but yourself for your issues.

Yes, our society has turned really foul. It seems like every corner you turn, one person has a scapegoat for their own problems.

Now if I could only sue the people carrying out these lawsuits for causing me mental distress, frustration, and probably causing a leak in my sensibility!

I say it's time for another global flood ;)
