Why did you say Bort?

Im the #1 Canobie Lake Park Fan!!!These are my top 3 coasters:
1. S:RoS @ SFNE 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Cyclone/B:TDK

I don't see what the big deal is - of course we knew they were going to sue! I think that the ironic part is that they claim the ride was not fully tested when the ride has been operational since 1978 and this is the first fatilty (?). It's not like it opened the week of her visit and had not been fully tested.

Because its another article where someone had a pre-existing problem and they blame it on a ride even though it is proven that it was not the rides fault and it is "crap" so i thought it deserved a bort.

I decided to remove annoying and say that I am sorry for the women before everyone attacks me.

how old is Monte? How could it be rushed? Any death of another human is always unfortunate, but this lawsuit is a load of crap it was discovered it was pre-exsisting condition and I'm sure Knott's has plenty of signs that are in plain site just like any of the other Cedar Fair parks.

Seems like people are in the mood of trying to hit up Knotts for money.

"I own you!"
"SUCKA!!!!!!!"
-quotes I have been known to exclaim on coasters.

How can you say that the article was annoying? The article was completely unbiased and informative. It simple stated facts. The woman died from a brain haemorrhage caused from a pre-existing aneurysm (it even explained what that is). It then went on to explain the plaintiffs case and then the parks comment (or lack there-of). It also included an expert's opinion (which was pro-coaster by the way). I actually thought this was a well-written article simply based on the truth.

Ya, it was very correct. The article was very good and while being short, Markey got shut down there.

If you need to be pissed at someone, be pissed at the lawyer and the family for attemping to gain from a tragic situation.

The article itself is actually a pretty well written, unbiased little piece.

Without the chaindog, you'd never get up the lifthill...

Monte is almost 25 years old and this is the first major accident.

I also heard something like her friends didn't want to get her help at first because she was on an expired visa from africa. not exactly that but something like that. someone else could give the story better.

it happened the same month as PP, but opened up several days later.

The lawsuit seeks an unspecified amount of money for medical and burial costs, for lost future earnings, and for emotional injury to three brothers and an aunt who were with Bolia at the theme park.

It always amazes me that some people can find compensation for their lost relatives by the means of money... If they're biggest complaint was that the ride was unsafe or that there was no indication of possible dangers, than let them start a lawsuit in order for the park to place signs or make the ride safer. (but i truly believe there's nothing unsafe about Monte nor do i believe that the park has neglegted putting warning signs in front of the queue-line)

Why always $$$$$$$!?

This and the PP incident made Knotts Replace every single sign on every one of their rides, even at their soak cities. They also now have added an additional one on every ride closer to the station. Also the "Many attractions at Knotts Berry farm are thrilling and dnamic sign"/
Yeah, they rushed it alright. The ride is over 25 years old. Lame if you aske me. And what took so long? This incident happened last year!
Another bull plop, absolute bull plop case claiming that a coaster influenced the end of someone with a pre-existing aneurysms life, is there an echo in here? What if this happened in front of the television, would the sue the maker? There is absolutely no evidence that the roller coasters caused this. One other thing, did they notice this before the ride was finished? If it happened after they were off the rides, say at their hotel, they cannot try to put this in Knott's lap.

What is it Lassie? Did Timmy fall down the well again? Rough. Did Mr. Wilson have a heart attack? Rough. Is the drug dealer here for his money? Rough Rough. RUN!

The only real problem is there is a precident. People have won before, so why not try again?

I doubt it was the coaster with what she had before.

Maybe the lawyer is the one with the brain injury.

Since McDonalds paid up two million for for some dumb ass spilling coffee on themselves, everyone has decided that no matter what is going on, they can sue for it. Look at the guy suing the three fast food chains for making him fat.

I wish people would take responsibilty for their own actions instead of blaming it on anyone they can. If you didn't know the coffee was hot, then you are just stupid. (back then, who served coffee cold?) How can you blame fast food restraunts for making you fat? You paid them to give you food, they didn't force you to eat. How can you not know that you can get lung cancer along with a whole array of other ailments from smoking (and I realize this issue is a little more involved due to the deception of the manufacturers. I am in my mid twenties and have known since I can remember that cigarettes will kill you) Next thing you know, drunks will sue brewers over destroying their livers...or has this already happened?

Sorry to have gone off topic so far there, I just hate that we are living in a society where it is ok to blame everyone but yourself for your issues.
