Knotts "Revolution" a chance

I find the largest difference, aside from the floor/floorless seating, is that the Frisbee swings freely where as the Afterburner/Revolution is motor driven. Kicker tires control the Frisbeeā€™s swinging. After the "tub" passes the kicker tires, gravity takes over. The other models require a motor to push the tub and, in my experience, don't offer the floating sensation that the Frisbee does.

You're way off here. An Afterburner swings freely, as does a Frisbee. The engine up in the top of an Afterburner performes the same way as the kicker tires on a Frisbee. The motor has no contact when it isn't boosting the gondola. So an Afterburner does supply a free swing!

A Fabbri Space Jam is completely motor-powered though.

Karl and I experienced something a bit different. The motor at the top of the Afterburner does allow it to swing pretty freely, but at the peak there would be a slight jerk as the motor switched direction that interrupted the full effect of running out of momentum and falling back down again. Frisbees don't get this sensation at all once they swing high enough to clear the tires, and that's what he's reffering to.
