Knotts new ride

I think I speak for most people when I say we shoould get something better in that area

You do not speak for me.  Perilous Plunge is the best "get you soaked boat ride" ever.  It is 100 times better than Tidal Wave at SFMM.

BTW Screamscape is not where Knott's official annoucements come from.  I'll wait for the official word.  I highly doubt whatever Knott's puts in will be 300'.

"X" marks the spot in 2001!

i highly doubt 300 feet but i see a hyper goin in over there thats the only Cedar Fair park that doesnt have one other than the new MiA. Plus a hyper would be good here especially from Intamin. Hope it is that would be nice for the CoasterCon for ACErs next year.

how incredibly STUPID would that be? why would knott's waste that much money removing a ride that they put so much into, and are very close to getting to work right
and you do NOT speak for everyone, definitely not for me...

"It was sure nice of Mr. Crab to give me a job here!" "And he was sure nice to start you off at $50 an hour! When i started, i had to pay Mr. Crab $100 an hour!"

oh and what do you mean nobody goes on it? every time me or one of my friends goes there it has at least a 15-minute line

I like Perilous Plunge a lot so you don't and never will speak or me, at that part. Maybe you had one bad ride on it. Boohoo. Go on it again and it'll most likely be much different. Dumb "I don't know how to spell" whiners...
Yeah I went on it 17 times in a row one time. Loved every ride I got on it.

Okay, let's get off how great Perilous Plunge is and get back to a subject before Jeff closes this post down. What do you think they will put in this piece of land?

-----------------
The SFMM Salvi:
"Goliath Jr. looks to intense for me"
"I want to go on something more exciting than X"

IMO, I think Intamin is the best company out there.

Besides the countless of innovations, the first Giga coaster, having B&M working for you for a long time (Intamin pretty much trained B&M), collaborating with Schwarzkopf, and making many great rides.

I have a feeling it will be a mistake at Knotts, and + yes it will be over 300 ft, possibly higher and faster than Millenium Force,

An Intamin hyper is not a mistake anywhere. The one thing Knott's was missing was a good high-speed steel coaster. They have one of the greatest wooden coasters in the world, and a great selection of non-coaster thrills. My only disapointment was the lack of a really good steel coasters. A hyper would be perfect.

ok we all agree sfmmrider has made some stupid remarks, so lets move on.  on to how true is this intamin hyper-giga coaster.

Raging Bull, Don't Fight It, Ride It

Maybe someone should close this.
This is only us disputing the ridiculous claims of SFMMrider.
It really isn't going anywhere.

Is it really rough??
Perilous Plunge has always been known for its headbanging after all. :)
Don't turn this into a Perilous Plunge hate thread.
Besides which shoot the chutes ride is better than Perilous Plunge??
Not your SFMM Tidal Wave!
Oh yeah, and just because employees tell you what a ride is going to be,why believe them.
I work at Knotts and I sure don't know any more than anyone else here.
Besides 99 percent of employees there don't know what a Hypercoaster is anyway. (thats true actually)

Knotts Halloween Haunt!!

Hey just because I dont like Perilous Plunge, doesnt mean I'm stupid, ok. I mean come on, you have to admit, u hear people, and some of you expected it to be better. Look at how much work they put into Windjammer, and surly they took it out
Well they won't take Perilous Plunge out, so get over it!
It will be fine in time, and some rides take more time than others to figure out.
It has been running fine lately before someone died on it.
I just can't see any problem with Perilous Plunge that would cause them to even slightly consider getting rid of it.

Let's also add onto the fact that it opened approximately one year ago (Sept 15 2000) and the entire PP ride project costed Knott's $9 million U.S. buckaroos. So you'll know for sure they ain't getting rid of this thing anytime soon. It's the park's newest attraction (discluding the still in construction phases-VertiGo).
Well The new Intamin coaster is going to be a new type of launched coaster from Intamin. It is going to be themed to the 50's drag racing, possibly have a top hat type inversion, in a twisted figure eight layout. It will be no where near 300 feet, it will be around 200 feet tall at the most. They are putting it in the windjammer site so anyone that knows the size of that area know that a giga of no type would fit there. A traditional hyper wounldn't fit in that area either that's why knotts is going with a launched, twisted compact coaster, with a vertical up/down to conserve space.
All there putting in the Windjammer area is the station, and some of the lift, and the ending, the rest of the ride will be going around the Boardwalk, kind of like Jaguar goes through Fiesta Village. The launch part is a rumor, but who knows?
sfmmrider, It's all a rumor until Knott's makes their announcement.

that doesnt happen to have anything to do with the fact "MilleniumForce" is in your name, no of course not.
