Made my first visit to Knoebel's (or any park this season) today (ugh), and got to try the Pork Chop on a Stick. It was actually quite good. It's a decent sized boneless chop that's marinated and grilled, then skewered. It was tender and full of flavor, not fatty, dry or tough. I opted for the plain, but there's a caramel apple version for fifty cents more. Not enough by itself for a whole meal, but probably makes a good walking-around food.
In other Knoebel's news, I see they're going to be open on Sundays for Hallo- fun from 12-5 on October 14, 21, and 28. Maybe that will attract the families with younger kids who aren't so much into the spooky stuff. Hopefully, there won't be half a foot of snow on the last weekend in October this year.
When I go to Knoebels I usually get Pregoeries, pickle on a stick, and Orange Crush Dream.
I went this past weekend and tried a bunch of new stuff.
BBQ Sandwich- Was decent for $3.
Pizza-I've heard wonderful things about Pizza but never got it. Really good for amusement park food. Decent size slice for $2.75
Pork Chop on a stick- Amazing!!! $3
Thanks,
DMC
What's a Pregoerie? Is that what happens when Mr. Superior doesn't pull out?

RGB's take on the pork chop on a stick is dead on. I got it on Tues. and sure I called my wife and said "Yep, it's a pork chop stuck on a stick" but it was definitely tasty.
I also enjoyed the video from the link previously posted.
SFGAdv Lover, I don't know why it wouldn't be. Now I'm curious about trying the Caramel Apple PCOAS. Sounds like an autumn-y type of food. Put a bunch of enthusiasts together and have them bob for pork chops.

But only if they're in a bucket of gravy.
Was supposed to go to Knoebels with a nearly full tally of Weight Watchers points on Saturday but ended up with more medical issues and ended up in the hospital. I got out in time for my trip, but was in no condition to ride coasters or eat that kinda food. I envy you your pork chops.

Glad you're out and I hope you're feeling better, bunky.
The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

Thank you, Mike. I am trying to see a specialist tomorrow, and hopefully they have some suggestions to help me out. Really don't want surgery, but it is not looking great. Just hoping I can postpone everything until the end of this season. I've been really motivated to get to more coasters and ride as much as possible before my injuries and illnesses catch up to me. This was a very unexpected turn that I'm very unhappy about. Was looking forward to this trip for weeks.

Thanks guys. Apparently the doctors don't think there is anything wrong that requires followup for another six friggin weeks, so I'm going to go very soon. Gotta do it!!

Glad to hear it, bunky. Hope you have an awesome time at Knoebels.
Don't forget to bring a dog...

I almost packed my dog up in the car and brought her to Knoebels on Saturday, but then I forgot, it's dangerous and unsanitary and mid-timbers and all that.
Actually, she's just a handful in the car, and I didn't feel like having a bulldog/beagle mix sitting on my lap for 4 hours.
That sounds like a whole lotta love kinda dog. Hee hee...
I always forget I can bring the dogs...maybe I can talk hubby into going to Knoebels one weekend soon and we can bring the dogs and have a lovely time.

Let's see, the Sunday tally: Birch beer, frozen sweet tea, porkchop-on-a-stick, Rib-b-qs, and ice cream waffle sandwiches. The diet of Olympians... ;~P
Great time with friends, not too many rides, but I was at Knoebels!!!
We had the first three in common, gator. Then I diverged into a cone of peanut butter cup soft ice cream (peanut butter/ chocolate twist).
Today while waiting for 5 to get the discounted ride band me and my girlfriend decided to indulge in some treats. Everything I had was the greatest food/drinks I've ever had. Started off with a bison Burger which was really good, then my girlfriend got something called an Antonio, I've never seen anything quite like it but the combo of ice cream whipped cream and cinnamon in the cinnamon covered tortilla was so good, every bite was a piece of heaven(and I normally hate sweets). Washed it down with a frozen apple cider and frozen peach lemonade, WOW these drinks are amazing. Later on had a chocolate covered cheesecake. If I lived anywhere close to knoebels I am sure I would be at least 350 lbs. I was shocked how great and cheap everything was,I fell in love with the place before even riding anything.
