Typically when I go to the parks, I am a power rider, and I don't bother searching for food and drink beyond what is in front of me when I get hungry. The last time I was at Knoebels, I quite enjoyed the frozen hot chocolate drink, but it was the only time I got something substantially tastier than at a normal park. I've heard so many good things about the food at Knoebels, and I've ridden everything there that I want to (with the exception of the new little coaster with the mine theming). I am planning a trip soon to Knoebels and would really like to take my time and enjoy everything, including the food. Many things are hidden in different areas in this little gem of a park, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to yummy treats I might not know about that I shouldn't miss. Locations of said eateries would be nice as well, considering things ARE hidden throughout the park.

One of our favorites is the eggplant fries at the Warf. The Warf is along the creek kinda between the covered bridge and the Facination building. The D&D Pita ( Cheesesteak on a pita bread) is great there too. Also, I always buy a bottle of Moxie at the stroller rental place on the way into the park.

Well, considering your name, I must take your advice! :)

Treat yourself to a quarter pound of the milk chocolate covered potato chips. Holy smokes that's good eating. Also, I am partial to the potato wedges. They are sort of triangular shaped and are like large tater tots. The wedges are by the turning umbrellas and the choco covered chips are in the fudge shop I think.
I was not impressed with the pizza. I thought it was just ok. (Just an Opinion - because I know some folks on the board love it)
Darn! Now I have huge cravings....why did I read this thread??

3 words... chocolate covered cheesecake. They sell it in a little stand over by where you get on the ski lift ride.

I'd be a little leery of taking advice from someone who enjoys Moxie...LOL!
The best recommendation I can make for Knoebels is the frozen iced tea or the frozen apple cider. I love them both and I'm not sure which I like better.
Last year at PPP we wanted to try some of the oft-talked-about food gems at Knoebels, because normally all we have is the PPPizza (which, to borrow from the Hershey thread hijack, I also don't think is anything to write home about, but it's included with the event). We made it as far as the wedge fries, which were good enough, but that's about it. I'm going to insist we make a more concerted effort this year. :)
I will also recommend the frozen sweet tea. You can get it at the Apple stand across from the swings. And when I say Apple stand, it's literally shaped like an apple, can't miss it.
I haven't been to Knobels for about six years. I remember the Pizza being very good. Has it changed?

The three times I've been to Phunfest ('07, '10, '11) the pizza was from Cesari's. It certainly wasn't *bad*, but if it weren't included with the PPP admission I'd rather eat somewhere else. But then, I don't think I've ever had particularly "good" pizza at any amusement park.
I disliked the pizza at Knoebels the two times..or was it once?..that I attended PPP. The only good pizza I've ever had at a park..and granted, it's not something I seek, knowing it'll probably suck..was a slice at Del Grossos. Woulda tasted even better if I didn't have to wait 15 minutes for the #$%^& thing.
The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

PPP is not the time to judge Knoebels food. Most of the food stands are shut down in the park and all you have is the outside vendors at the craft fair. To really enjoy all the food offerings you need to visit during the regular season. The pizza is better during regular season, but still not the best pizza, unless you get a taco pizza.

I've had really good pizza from almost every park I have ever visited. I guess Knoebels pizza is terrible, and I like terrible pizza. lol

^^Unfortunately, I only venture to Knoebel's once a year, and it's for PPP. For all you PPPers, what hidden food gems are available during PPP?

Well, you *do* consider McDonald's food to be some of the best on the planet, so I'd say your taste is just a tad bit backwards. :)
For the record, I've had Knoebels pizza during the regular season, too, and it's still just "meh."
I hate to say it, but he's kind of right, Krause. Your preference for the Golden Arches does make you, well, culinarily suspect. ;)

No offense taken. I do love me some McDonald's. Crap, now I have to go get some right now because it was mentioned.

I just noticed a new item posted on Knoebels facebook page. Pork Chop on a Stick. I know what I'll be trying on my next visit. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151851147105551&set=a.246299800550.304320.207828210550&type=1&relevant_count=1
