I really did mean "not enough trains" but I guess I forgot that, if they have the variable speed lift, they can dispatch the full train into the lift block while the other train is on the course. This will lead to an empty station for a while, which will in turn lead to an empty course block (which I assume is the bottleneck on a ride of this length).
Basically, if the ops are slow, the station will be the slowest block and it will be full every time, which is how most of the other Intamin hypers run. But if the ops are fast, the course will be the slowest block and it will be empty regularly.

Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
On Millennium Force, doesn't the train on the track block have to hit the final brake run before the station train can be dispatched? Is there any reason to believe I305 will operate any differently?
Millie has no mid-course block brake. In order to run three trains it has four blocks: station, lift, final brake run, and unload station.
I305, running two trains, has three blocks: station, lift, and final brake run. It cannot run three trains because a fourth block would be needed.
I wonder why they decided to do this?
I know that CF tried to cancel both of the Intimidators. I wonder if they went from 3 to 2 trains as a cost saving measure. Seems short sighted to me. KD can be just as busy as CF but of course Kinzel is not in Doswell.

As far as the 2 trains on track, there is the lift hill, a set on trims on last bunny hill, and brake fins at the end. So I imagine no dispatch of train 2 until the 1st train is near the end of the run. As the only stopping points for trains out there are the lift and at the end of the run near the station.
Hmm not sure why my photos didnt link showing all the points to slow/stop ride while outside station (I always consider the station a stop point)
But here it is for reference, for those who wanted to see whats out there.
Brake fins at end of run.

According to whom?

The biggest problem I have with only having two trains on hand is that when one of them is down mid-season, you can get ridiculously long lines even when the ride is operating.
Mr Putz, as I recall the information about CF attempting to cancel the coasters was included in a transcript of a CF stock holders call.
In these economic times and with what CF has been going through it made perfect since to me that they would try to cancel these just like they delayed STR from 2009 to 2010.

I sure would love to see that, because the concept of "cancelling" a coaster seems a little strange to me. Either you order it or you don't. These rides have been on their radar since the day they acquired the parks.

Wasn't it widely reported that Great America was getting a GCI? I know the situation there is different but not unprecedented.

Sure, until they thought they might be able to sell the park and the whole 49ers stuff started to go down. No such scenario has presented itself with Carowinds or Dominion.

They didn't announce the GCI until after the 49'rs thing began. Since it was announced about a full year before it was "originally" supposed to open, I thought they were actually trying to show that they had no intentions of moving/selling cheap. Then the coaster never happened. So, it may have actually hurt them in the long run that hey said anything at all. Just speculating here.

wasn't the GCI delayed 1 year and then built at another CF park?

Testing has begun. I just saw a video posted on youtube. It is from another site so I won't post a link unless Jeff OKs it, but I am sure that all those interested can find it easily.

Jeff usually doesn't mind unless it's one certain site. I believe that that particular site gets censored when typed here on CoasterBuzz.
Thanks Dave. I'm going to go look for the video right now, well after I check out the rest of CoasterBuzz!
