Kings Dominion adding wild mouse for 2002

Posted | Contributed by Sam A. Marks

Paramount's Kings Dominion will get a Mack wild mouse for 2002. The coaster will include a 50-foot drop, which is higher than those found on standard models from the same manufacturer. The ride will be named Ricochet.

A thrust air would be nice out west too. I just hope they make the circuit longer.

As for the mouse thing....I have really fallen for these types of coasters. The best ones I have experienced are at Hershey, Idlewild and SFKK. Speaking of Idlewild's, isn't that drop pretty substantial???

At least they are getting a new ride. Plus this wild mouse might turn out to be really cool. It will also bring in families which means more money for coasters in the upcoming years.

ive been seeing construction going on for this. I believe it will be put in between the first turn on hurler and the queue of rebel yell.
PKD has so much variety. The only things that are the same are Hurler and Grizzly(Scooby-Doo if you count it). This new addition will be sweet.
hey stop your complaining guys....i think that Richochet will be an AWESOME addition to the PKD fleet!!! i mean, yeah i would have rather had a hyper, but come one...do you know how much H:XLC costs?!?! give 'em a couple years....PKD will be towerin over MF, Nitro, S:ROS...all of 'em!!! remember, we have the biggest LIM collection, and the biggest wood collection!!!! so breakin records is nothin new to us!!

ROLLERCOASTERS....BETTER THAN OXYGEN BABY!!!!!!
This is a nice addition, but man does PKD need flat rides bad! There's almost nothing to do but ride coasters (and some short ones with no capacity at that!).

The flat ride seems like a Huss Trioka or Tri Star. Tri Star would be nice, only other park i know of that has it is Idlewild. Good for them for adding a flat ride, they need it.
Well, now every Paramount park will have a mouse except for PKI. Will they be next?

Aaron, still waiting for a mouse in Ohio

Actually freak, I dont know how much it cost. Why dont you enlighten us? This doesnt do much to persuade me to purchase another PKD pass. I mean I like the other Mack ride in the park very much, and the flat ride addition sounds good, but I'm just not feeling the park as a whole. I hope one day they can get a GAdv like flat ride invasion.

hehe, i bet the year after that PKI will get one as well.

Man and i thought our (PC) wild mouse wasnt going to be a total clone :(

It think that Riccochet will be okay. sure, a bunch of us want a hyper (actually all of us), but with Hypersonic coming out a year ago, I think we shoud be grateful that PKD is even getting a new coaster for 2002. Look for the hyper in 2003-2004

Keep your arms and legs insid the vehichle at all times and enjoy your ride on the flipside.

Good, another rollercoaster that my daughter can ride!  She loves the Wild Mouse type rides.  I hope that it is up more than the Hypersonic was.  When we were there, it was down for most of the day!  After that, I had no intention of standing in line for it!
