King’s Dominion 2025?

I know, he’s got an issue with that park even if it’s his “home park” I understand all too well. I have the same issue with SFGAm my “home park” that I don’t enjoy at all.

It's tough... what's roughly (IMHO) the best big park in the country in terms of rides variety and coaster quality(+length). I'm biased haha.

I found a YouTube video of the ride created in No Limits, going from the layout of the footers in the leaked plans. It looks like a great coaster with some unique elements. Not nearly as large as Gatekeeper though. I predict that it's going to be a winner, mountain or not.

Rapterra? That's unique. I kind of like it.

KD released a video. No mountain, but it looks awesome! This is almost exactly what someone recreated from footer plans a few weeks ago on another YouTube channel.

I wish B&M made layouts for Wing Coasters that are similar to their more intense inverts and floorless coasters. Kraken, Batman Knight Flight, Montu, Raptor, the Batman clones and Banshee exist in a league of their own. I miss those B&M type layouts.

That may not be possible---at least not at reasonable costs. The "wings" are quite far from the spine of the track, and carry a fair bit of weight. The stress on the connection points is correspondingly higher, and would require a LOT more material to keep it stable under the same forces that e.g. an invert experiences.

My one experience with a wing coaster was on Wild Eagle and it was definitely intense enough for me. I'm happy my old home park is getting this, it looks good, but my oldness doesn't dig inversions and intensity as much as when I was less old.

Yeah, I think the margin between too much and too little is pretty small. Wild Eagle is a lot, Windseeker it seems to depend, Thunderbird is just right consistently. The seats are so far out of the center line that you can't get too crazy.

Windseeker = Gatekeeper?

And yeah, no need to try recreating the forces of an invert out of a wing. I like that the two different designs provide two different experiences.
