Kingda Ka Testing

Over at www.gainsider.com they have a video of Kingda Ka testing as well as some pictures, can't wait for this to open.

It is cool watching how slow it is actually going.

See? They can't even get the ride to make it over the top! Dragster is still the tallest coaster in the world and will be for all eternity!

That video is aweful. Somebody buy the videographer a tripod.

Ha ha, seriously. It IS hard to zoom in that far and hold it steady, at least find a ledge to rest it on. It actually made me a little ill watching it.

The back of the train makes it look like there is a rear facing seat, almost like a caboose. Heh.

A) The trains are UGLY
B) Their capacity is going to be horrible if each train has to "work its way up" the hill
C) I hold to my originial equation:
(Six_Flags_Maint) + (Intamin_Tech) = SBNO

Wow. That doesn't look like a very exciting ride at all. Most of the track isn't even used! What a waste...

Looking at the pictures, I hope those guys on the brake run can get out of the way in case the train ever makes it over the top.

I really hope they didn't launch the train with them on the track.

It IS really hard to hold a camera and have a steady shot, but i'd just be happy that we HAVE a video... What would we say if somebody said that they saw Kingda King testing, but they since their video quality wasn't good they weren't going to post it.

Sheeesh, just be glad you HAVE a video to drool over!

A) No, hatin' is ugly

B) Our capacity for hearing this is even lower

C) (Fanboy) + (Slightly shorter coaster) = You-know envy

you may be waiting awhile, I would not be shocked if the ride does not even open this year. It will take months to send that thing over the top.
