Kingda Ka Special!

Oh, they're different colors! I didn't realize that! You're right then, they are TOTALLY different experiences.

Seriously - stop now, cause you are embarassing yourself... but it is fun to watch!

Dj, I'm having fun as I type. I'll stop if everyone else does, I'm not always one for war.

Numbers 5 6 and 7 are just jokes, sorry I didn't add sarcasm marks. The rest of them stand as is, serious.

I liked TTD when I rode it, however, It wasn't the 'end all, be all' of coasters. I thought Gemini was far more fun, and much more worth my time. Like someone already said, it didn't do much for me.

Although I really liked the rush of KK and TTD, I couldn't agree more.

italianstallion said:
(This concerns you Tekno)) Those who say others are lacking are said to have those insecurities themselves. To cover up the fact that they (AKA Tekno) have nothing, they must make it look like they have something. So, what better way to do this than to say others don't have that "thing." Realistacally, I can read your post, and see your lie, and it's not gonna get past me.

Oh please, don't go anywhere. I really don't know what we'd do without your charming ad hominem retorts about the penis size of someone you've never met -- the deftness of your witticisms would be sorely missed if they suddenly vanished.

This might just be the fact that I just read Dickens' Hard Times (yeah, go ahead, have your sophomoric laugh at that one, too), but you seem to have forgotten that while you can quantify the coaster's statistics, there's no way to quantify human feeling or emotion without subtracting it completely from the equation -- once you try to enforce that, the human element becomes irrelevant.

Translation: throw out all the numbers and "Italian logic" you want; if Tekno and Moosh didn't like it, and you and I did like it, all of our opinions are valid so long as we've all ridden the rides and formed those opinions genuinely. And since I'm fairly sure we all have ridden it, you can't discount those dissenting opinions just because you don't agree with them.

I think the "did nothing for me" and "did little for me" responses are completely valid.

My response to TTD was "It's a cool experience, but hardly a good coaster" and I still stand by that. If I never rode Kingda Kan't or Stand Still Dragster again, I wouldn't feel like I was missing much. I'm glad I did TTD, and I'd grab a ride on either if they were actually operating the day I visited their representative parks, but I could live without them.

I'm not a speed whore. I can do 120 in my car if the need arises. And the up and down is awfully similar to any given freefall ride. (though admittedly not exactly the same)

In the end, I wouldn't say it does nothing for me, but I would exactly rank these among the best coasters.

italionstallion:
Yes, a difference can be felt, because Kingda Ka goes 0 to 128 mph in 3.5 seconds. TTD goes 0 to 120 mph in 4.0 seconds. So, not only is it faster, but the launch is quicker.

So you can feel a difference of 8 mph over a half second? Wow. Exactly which drugs do you need to take to make the nervous system that sensitive? Because I'd love to try them. :)

italionstallion:
Wow,all you guys are stupid.

My favorite is when the one odd guy out thinks he's right and the rest of the world is wrong. There's a fun psychological analysis in there just waiting to happen.

I mean, if a group of other people all said, "green" while you were sitting thing thinking "blue", would'nt you re-evaluate the situation? I never understood the mindset that immediately declares everyone else wrong or stupid.

And calling an entire group of people "stupid" sure is a great retort that really drives a point home, isn't it? Nothing goes farther in a effort to be taken seriously and have your views considered valid that calling everyone involved stupid.

italionstallion:
Oh yes, fire at me. Throw all you got at me. Call me what you like, I ain't going no where.

Yeah, but this quote when tied to the previous one reduces you to nothing more than message board troll. From this point forward you mostly be ignored, your opinions will be scoffed at and the only way you'll get any response is to instigate and bait. You've managed in one little silly thread to kill any chance you had. You've been reduced to community punching bag and in-joke with a couple of poorly thought out posts.

You might not be going anywhere, but without a serious change in approach, you're probably not going to find it much fun to be here anyway.

Aaaaaaaadriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiaaaaaaaaaaaann! :)
Whatever. Nitro, you make a good point. As for the private part thing, I only said that in response to what Tekno said to me. Why is it that my comments are critiqued when others fired the first shot, yet they don't get the impact of your post. I like the point you made, minus that part aimed at me.

Gonchar, what makes you think the rest of the world is right? I'll use that old saying, and I will give you my EVALUATION. If everyone jumped off a bridge, would you follow them? Let's use an outbreak of common sense here. Esentially, that is what you are saying. I'll use your example. If everyone says green, and I say blue, does that mean one is better than the other? No. Popularity, except in the case of elections, doesn't mean one thing is better than another. But, what you are telling me from your post is that you will follow the throngs of people if it means you aren't the oddball out. I'm not gonna lie to you, and I'm, being serious when I say this: you are a tool, and you will follow everyone else. Think on the times in history when the oddball out did great things: Pilgrims coming to America, the founders of the MUTI-BILLION dollar industries, and, even roller coasters. At first, these people were looked at as crazy, like they were no good: They were the oddball that people made fun of. What did their radical ideas lead to? In that order, The U.S. was founded, those people wipe their behinds with $100 bills (and you can make fun of me via the internet), and you can ride coasters. Yes, what I just said is all relevant.

So, ignore me all you want, sometimes I'm an asset. You know what, sometimes people like you are the people who are no-good to our society. While I may be a Juinor in high school, I'm here because I have free time. If you have a job, then you either work at night, post at night, or post during the day. If you do the latter of the 3, then you are sucking up more money for services you don't even do. Sorry to rant, but I'm tired of this.

The best part? All five of you missed the lovely counting skills there ...

#1) The ...
#2) It's ...
#3 (This ...
#5) They ...
#6) They ...
#7) to hit ...

Perhaps skipping 4 is part of the side effects of those drugs that help you notice a difference of 6.6 ft/sec2 of acceleration (meaning KK puts approximately 0.2 G additional force on you over TTD ... that's 30 more "pounds" of force for a 150 lb person ... not something you're going to notice when you've already got 150 (1G) pushing on you) and aforementioned Enzyte-sponsored ... correction 8.6% (OOO!!) increase in height ...

Did you perhaps help write the intro to Vertigo by U2 italianstallion?

But it means that the majority is stupid because you disgaree?

You switched up the arguement. Calling someone stupid requires validation. One side is in theory "correct" while the other is not. You're retort to my calling you out on that fact is to say that everyone's opinion or thought is valid - which is what these guys were telling you in the first place.

I've never posted to this forum or even looked at it when being paid to be doing something else on someone else's time...ever. In fact, it's something I pursue in my free time as well. So that makes me no-good to society? Ummm, ok.

(Oh man, I've been reduced to trying to validate my existence with a junior high kid :) )

That is SO 2003!

Like I'd leave the Stalkettes to pile in a less-than-stylish auto fulla hairy DUDES with BO.

No offense, I know you mean well. But these days, I drive a Purple Coupe De Ville and do what I do with Da Pimp Cane.

But ya know what?

*tosses you the MoJ keys*

Pick six others to roll with you. You have my blessing.

Gonch, Tekno, to the MoJ! (just dude, don't scratch it, I didn't buy the insurance, I hear that's a ripoff anyway ...) And find yourselves a sidekick, I have mine ...

Stiny, get me a danish!

I'd nominate ApolloAndy of the Junior Vigilantes to the MoJ '06 crew, too--but I gave you the keys. It's your call.

i am going to say this.

if you like ttd and hate kk you probably are a cedair point fanboy and will always hate six flags.

ttd and kk are basically the same baring a few tiny changes on kk .

I dont understand how people can like one and not the other.

Yes, ApolloAndy has previously proven himself quite worthy. And of course, what Minivan would be complete without Moosh! Then again, Moosh and Gonch in the same minivan? Awk - Ward!

Moosh was never IN the van...He was in a cart behind it.
