Kingda Ka Special!

I was too busy watching/recording the 5-hour-41-minute world series game for my dad.

Anyone know if it's going to be aired again anytime soon?

"Life's What You Make It, So Let's Make It Rock!"
Ha ! I love it, Kingda Can't and Top Thrill Dumpster. how about Minimum Forceskin. I'm sorry ,but these coasters are sooo overrated. Maybe I'm just happy to live within 2hrs of two of the best, SROS @ SFNE and Boulder Dash. Of course being six hrs from Knoebels isn't too bad either.

However, the show was just way too dramatic.

These type of shows are always overdramatic... "If this piece of track doesn't fit perfectly, they'll have to tear down the towers and start over..." In reality it's more like if they dont fit, just hit them with a bigger hammer until they do.

whats with the kingda cant comemnt.

The ride does nothing for me. Neither does Top Thrill Dumpster.

Happy now?

You have no pulse then, that's all there is to say about you. I'm wondering if you've even ridden them before.

How can you question someone about their taste in coasters? If he doesn't like it, he doesn't like it!

Although, I have a hard time beliving anyone could ride one of these, get off and shrug.

That's what I mean. If you don't say a word, or even smile as you are on them and when you get off, you are legally . The ride may not be his favorite, but how can it be nothing. To me, "does nothing for me" is similar to riding a mine train, not too much fun but you ride it anyway. I think it's a macho man attitude, he thinks he's better than everyone else because he says can ride the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world, and it doesn't phase him. Excuse me, but that's a showoff attitude.

I agree with moosh... after a few laps on these they get dull. I have less than 20 laps on each and as of the opening of the 2006 season they will be on the take a lap when I go to the park list. Where rides like Phoenix, Millenium Force, Magnum XL, Nitro, Medusa and Storm Runner never will get old to me and get rerides when I am there. I love the launch on Top Thrill Dragster and Kingda Ka but after that the thrill goes to meh.

Watch the tram car please....
I liked TTD when I rode it, however, It wasn't the 'end all, be all' of coasters. I thought Gemini was far more fun, and much more worth my time. Like someone already said, it didn't do much for me.

Hey, thats what you get when you spend 25 bazillion dollars for a coaster that doesn't do anything other than launch and hit the brake run.

Ha!!! You are soooo Funny. The last time i checked your two favorite rides are #2 on the top 100. SROS (when it runs) is the most overated thing i've seen.

So what? Rankings come from opinions. I love how someone can't express a negative opinion when they have actually ridden the coaster...

Your opinions don't matter, by the way.

I'm sorry, but isn't the post about Kingda Ka? They are 2 separate experices. Sure, the idea is the same, but they are different. Kingda Ka goes faster in a shorter amount of time, and goes higher. It also has a bunny hop at the end. Kingda Ka does MORE than launch and hit the brake run. It launches, goes up vertical 456 feet, drops you at 90 degrees, as you go through 270* twist, and then rockets you over a hill. If you have not ridden KK, you have no say.

The last time i checked sf was just looking for ways to beat cp, well they still have NOT and find themselves in even more debt. by the way i have been on SROS.
Uh... S:ROS is usually running. What ride are YOU talking about?
If you have not ridden KK, you have no say.

No say about what, idiot? I said I liked TTD, and didn't say anything about KingDuh Kan't. I just said it didn't do 'much' for me, which means it did something, just not nearly as much as Gemini.

And, honestly, you mean to tell me you can physically feel it going taller and faster by a couple miles/feet? Regardless, it is a launch, then you hit the brakes. On that bunny, might I add, and since you launch up onto a top hat WITH BRAKES, then I'm still correct.

When will idiot fanboys realize that taller and faster means nothing but a means to market? Some of you guys have such large egos to cover the small...

...'Intelligence'.

Wow we must be in the "wishlists and self-policing of threads" cycle of Coasterbuzz right now. Amusing while it lasts, but usually short lived with many casualties along the way.

Psst Tekno, don't bring up logic, it's not allowed right now. Or at least, you need to use italian logic which states that 26 extra feet (a massive 6% increase) and a hill create a "separate experience". I mean geez, can't you tell that they're NOT the same ride?

--Brett, who's just not impressed with the L-TH-B concept. Build a ride with some meat, not some ego-trip one-and-done overblown drop ride.

I thought it was a very good show. You have to give kudo's too the people who built the ride under rough circumstances.
And it was nice too see who the ride runs and with all the different things invovled in this type of ride one shouldnt be suprised it is prone to breakdowns.
...use italian logic which states that 26 extra feet (a massive 6% increase) and a hill create a "separate experience".

I thought that was Enzyte Logic?

Size only matters to people who have size issues.

They are 2 separate experices.

*Insert "wrong" buzzer noise here*

^that's true: KK is in Jersey. That's an experience in itself. :)

Wow,all you guys are stupid. Let me use my Italian Logic to state that

#1) The name is Kingda Ka, not Kingda Crap, Kingda Can't and any other combinations that sound really dumb.

#2) It's 36 feet taller, and 8 miles an hour faster. Yes, a difference can be felt, because Kingda Ka goes 0 to 128 mph in 3.5 seconds. TTD goes 0 to 120 mph in 4.0 seconds. So, not only is it faster, but the launch is quicker. While they may look the same, they are indeed separate experiences. On TTD, you go rocketing down the middle of the park: KK, you go through a jungle.

#3 (This concerns you Tekno)) Those who say others are lacking are said to have those insecurities themselves. To cover up the fact that they (AKA Tekno) have nothing, they must make it look like they have something. So, what better way to do this than to say others don't have that "thing." Realistacally, I can read your post, and see your lie, and it's not gonna get past me.

#4) They are different colors.

#5) They have different Trains.

#6) to hit on the point that scooter said, they are in different states (that's a joke, I know, I'm not stupid)

Oh yes, fire at me. Throw all you got at me. Call me what you like, I ain't going no where. *** Edited 10/26/2005 10:13:01 PM UTC by italianstallion***
