King of the Cedar Fair Woodies?

I would say it is a tie between Meanstreak and Shivering Timbers.

Mean Streak is towards the end... :) I would say a tie between Shivering Timbers and Ghostrider.

I get the feeling there's a conspiracy over at King's Island to remove anything that has "K" or "C" in its initials.

Blue Streak! :)

Ghostrider, Shivering Timbers

Mean Streak and Shivering Timbers are definately the most amazing to look at but I KNOW the Mean Streak is not the "king" of CF's woodies, even though its the only one I've been on

i don't feel like putting anything here

I would have to say Herculse(sp?) at Dorney. I mean this ride so smoother than a babies bottom for heavens sake. It also has some of the best airtime that I have ever expereinced. I love all the laterals on it too. It is just so great!

April Fools.

Where has the magic gone in the name Disney?

Well, that was a short arguement.

I think I would put Timbers and Ghostrider as co-King as well since both have a really unique design to each other which makes them as great as they are. My favorite out-and-back woodie and one of my favorite twisters.

Queen would go to Thunderhawk at Dorney and I would guess Timber Wolf at WOF would be up there as well.

Blue Streak and High Roller might be Prince and Princess.

Wolverine Wildcat and Zach's Zoomer would be next in line.

Hercules in Mean Streak might have to be the orange-headed stepchildren. ;)

Americana is opening in 2002 and needs your support as many company picnics are already schedualed for someplace else, Indivdual visits are very improtant to the parks survival.

Haha Mean Streak the best of the Cedar Fair LP wood coatsers? LOL, it must be April Fools Day run amok! Like few said above, it's a toss up between GhostRider and Shivering Timbers.
There's a Timber Wolf at Dorney?!

Rollercoasters are my life, I think about them more than I think about....wait, thats all I think about :)

I highly doubt Mean Streak would be even near the top of Cedar Fairs woodies. It is just so ruff. I think Shivering Timbers or Hercules they are both really good.

Coaster Count- 21 and counting

Yes, there's a Timber Wolf at Dorney can't you read the sign? And parking will be $10,000. You'll also receive a free Elissa White life size action figure with purchase which recites lines such as "Yay, we're riding Drop Zone and its Intamin! But, we're at Kings Island, so it gets a bad vibe" and "Flashback!", but does not include the lines "Boo, we're at KBF and Perilous Plunge is closed because its Intamin" or "Goliath!". And be careful when you take her on a coaster. She tends to "slip" out of her lap bar sometimes.

------------------
Elissa, we really do like you! Here's your Academy Award. Wait, no. That one was really supposed to go to Marissa Tomei this time. Sorry. ;)

I would go Ghostrider, i like the look of it, the station looks way cool, and you gotta love the lift that you can smell chicken on :), and you gotta love the drop after the turnaround over the station, whew the first time i rode it, I fell in love with it , It has got some great laterals, i mean flying straight into the turn after the first drop, one of the best beginnings, it mixes the best of the bunch , it is my #1 woodie, I really don't like out and back woodies, usually there is not enough action, it is just drops , go over a couple of hills, and turn around do it again.

Welcome one and all, y'all come have a ball!
Things a bear-y fine, ridin' on the old Knott's bear-y line!

It's amazing to me that there aren't more quality wooden coasters to compare in the Cedar Fair chain. People always mention how few Six Flags good new wooden coasters there are, but Cedar Fair over the last 10 years or so has built exclusively steel. The two great one's they have were inherited.

Ghostrider and Shivering Timbers, definitely. They are both really great woodies and are very re-rideable!

I can't think of a good signature.

Blue Streak.

I always find it funny to see that people forget that Valleyfair is even in the chain, despite the fact that it was one of the first parks in the chain.

I realize that High Roller wouldn't be considered "King" but when people are putting up lists, well then it makes it pretty obvious how little Valleyfair gets discussed on the boards.
