Didn't you help build it? That counts for even more, dude!

Whoa! Since when do you get to ride a coaster on a construction tour? KY Rumbler looks so awesome. I love that logo on the trains too!
My pics are up.

Have Fun

I missed the construction tours for a trip to Vegas, and, well, I think I'd rather have been on KY Rumbler than on Manhattan Express :)
AC. I don't know who guessed right and what day it first ran.

I do know that either here or RRC I guessed that Rumbler would be running by construction tour time.

March 10th was the first day it rolled over. I believe it was around 2pm CST if we need to go to the tie breaker.
My images in the second gallery are fixed now for much easier viewing...not SUPER SIZED anymore but just thumbnails like the others. Thanks for the help Jammin. Enjoy!

Ok guys, as promised. The video is now posted on my site. www.rollercoasterfreak.com Keep in mind that this was shot with a digital camera and not a video camera. I did the best I could with what I had. :) *** Edited 3/21/2006 4:43:45 AM UTC by Jason Hammond***

Nice job on the video.

So how is the Airplane-esque first drop? How is the airtime? Laterals? Give it to us, please! :)

Good Stuff! You did a great job capturing the constant speed of the coaster. Like Thunderhead, this one looks like it benefits from staying mostly low to the ground so that you get that constant sense of speed.

I can't wait to ride it.

And this isn't even as fast as it will go. Jeff from GCI said that because of the temperatures, it was runing about 4 or 5 seconds slower than it will come summertime. There is quite a bit of air time. There is even a little hump on the way to the lift hill that you get a little out of. Not many coasters can say that. :) The ride is so smooth it's unbelivable. The transition from turn to turn is superb. I don't think there is a straight and level piece of track on this ride.

If it really was March 10th (And I have no reason to doubt Cpunk on such matters), Swoosh wins, on the nose.

Excellent video Jason. I saw myself in it a few times :-)

What kind of program/software did you use to put that together? Hopefully with my next computer I can get something similar. Great job!

I found it very user friendly.

Mark you lucky sun of a gun. Those pictures are amazing (as your stuff usually is) and I still can't believe that you got to ride it WAY before the public.

I just bought myself a Nikon D50 and with a hopeful Penn State coaster trip (6 parks in 5 days anyone?) I'll have some great stuff to send back your way later this summer.

Ok guys, now that I've had a couple days to go through and organize the 164 pictures and 31 video segments that I took, I now have my site updated to not only include the video, but my favorite 64 pictures. (Catagorized of course)
