Kentucky Rumbler Construction Tour

THANKS so much to everyone at Beech Bend, Jeff and Claire from GCII, ACE and Rick Henderson (I still owe you money!) for putting together such an amazing tour! Who would've thought we'd get to ride it?!

I swear, May can't come fast enough. Great photos.

The ride looks like another winner for GCI and the folks at Beech Bend. No frills, no 500ft nonsense, just an old fashioned *Rumbling* good time. ;)

Thanks CD. PBase is kinda screwed up with my pics, but you get the gist. ;-)

The Rumbler completely rocked! What a perfect ride for Beech Bend. I expect it will be pretty busy in Bowling Green this summer. I should have my round of pictures up sometime later today.

Have Fun

Looking forward to a more complete run-down of the ride soon.

Having grown up in the Central KY I am insanely excited about this new ride.

It's really a very beautifully designed ride, and the folks at Beech Bend seem real excited about sharing their new toy with us. Great to see another 'small' park moving up in the world. If not for that other minor new coaster in the area opening the same time I'd be there for opening day.

Excuse me, need a napkin to wipe my chin....ooh, looky, there's a station in there! :)

P.S. Where were those threads about WHEN Rumbler and Voyage will be ready to roll....I know *I* picked an early date, but was it THIS early?

I can't remember which thread that was in. I'm sure someone will dig it up. I think I guessed either March 17 or 31--those two numbers stick out in my mind for some reason.

Let's just say a LOT of people's top 10 lists are going to be shaken ummm ever so slightly this year. I haven't had that much FUN on a coaster in soooooo long.

Theme Designer I wouldn't call The Voyage a minor ride. But than I think it could be sarcasm.

Just a little...

Is that sarcasm?

Yesterday was a blast. Saturday was great too. I never took so many pictures of 1 coasters in one day. I got a bunch of short video clips too, not sure how they turned out, but I'll be making my first attempt at video editing. I'll let you guys know when it's ready. :)

^Awesome pics! I grabbed a few for my desktop/to drool over. ;-)

I can't wait!

You guys were lucky. :-) I was beside myself being one of the "first" to sit in the train at the GCI place last October. I can just imagine how *gasmic* it was to be one of the firsts to *break it in.* ;-)

Rumbler is looking mighty sexy. :-) DROOL!

Thanks for sharing those pics, thrillerman!

Yes, yes we do but it was so much fun. ;-)

My pictures of the Rumbler should be up in an hour.

No fair! No fair at all! I didn't ride it but I walked the track several times when I was there in Febuary. Does that count for anything?
