Kennywood expansion plan...whats going to happen?

So now I am imagining that A new expansion could be put where the picnic shelters are now and extend into the area behind racer and JR, and the area behind Exterminator would be for a new picnic area.

And that is *exactly* why I'd be surprised to see any B&M coaster show up at ANY of their parks...just not in their budget...and Kennycorp seems to be very prudent (cautious even) in their expenditures... ;)

A B&M might be out of the price range right now, but you never know what can happen in years to come, I'd like to see a wooden coaster first, some expansion which would increase attendence and revenue...then maybe a B&M can be installed at Kennywood. Who knows, but a B&M would be well worth the expense if Kennywood wants a good steel coaster.

Personally, I'd rather *not* see a B&M at Kennywood. They're just too... big and take up too much space. I don't think that would jive well with what Kennywood's got going on.

That's probably what will happen. Most likely some, but not all, of the picnic groves will be 'relocated', most likely some of the ones near the Log Jammer. We'll just have to wait and see what their master plan ends up to be. *** Edited 1/15/2006 12:56:07 AM UTC by Brother Dave***

And this "master plan"-- or at least part of it-- is what they received the grant (from the economic development folk) to develop, correct?

Much of the grant will be used in a feasiblity study to reclaim the 'brown field' land (old railroad yard) concerning possible industrial pollution of the site.
