Details to follow, but that will be a good day to ride a racing GCI and the best hydraulic launch coaster ever made.

Now I don't feel so bad about missing the event ACE is having there in May.

OK, so you're starting at Tusenfryd that morning then flying over to Hershey on a lunch time flight in time to do Lightning Racer in the evening? :)

Why not? The time zones work in your favor...

Indeed. First rule of being silly is to make sure that your proposal is, in fact, practical :D

More detail...

Yes, we're having an event at Hersheypark, tentatively called "Chocolate Buzz," on June 2, 2007.

ERT will be on Lightning Racer and Storm Runner, after the park closes, from 10:30 to 11:30pm.

There will NOT be any on-site registration. The time on this is a little tight, and I apologize for that. I strongly suggest getting the flyer printed and sent as soon as possible once it is posted. I'm hoping to have the final pricing later today.

Tickets for admission and the meal will probably be less than or about the same as normal admission alone ($46 this year), unless they charge big money for the catering.

"It's Cocoa-riffic"... :)

Do I win a prize for coming up with the slogan? Kidding! ;)

I'll "buy" you a chocolate bar after riding the Xtreme Cup Challenge.

Chocolate Buzz? Is this European chocolate with the vodka filling?
Storm Runner after close is going to be "sweet"

**collective ugh**

Since bad puns are the rule of the day, I vote for the ERT to be named "Dark Chocolate." ;)

Since when did they move Xcellerator from Knott's to Hersheypark?

coastin' since 1985

Am I correct in assuming that there will be a cheaper price for those of us who have season passes and thus won't need admission?

(I just want to make my 29% go farther ;) )

^^ The only way Xcelerator becomes the best hydraulic launch coaster is if StormRunner suddenly falls over... ;)
^^You mean you wouldnt rather ride RITA than a horse? You're a sick man RGW!

LOL, can't speak for Rita (or any coaster not on this continent, yet)...but I can say that of all the N. American hydraulic launch coasters, SR is far and away the best of the breed (keeping with the horse analogy). IMO, YMMV, etc.

Xcelerator is *slightly* better than TTD, alot better than Ka.

As far as the launch itself, the best one is for sale...cheap. Not hydraulic though...and the rest of the ride mostly blows chunks...
