KD announcement 9-12-12

I'm hoping that iOS6 finally becomes available today. After I had the beta, I got to liking most of the features, even though they were only half working. I gave up and decided to wait until the full release, and I'm hoping that's today.

I'm looking forward to iOS6, but I'm not due for new hardware for a while so I'm not really concerned with the iPhone 5. I would like to know what it looks like, however...screen size and such.

As for KD? I was a little disappointed with all the buzz words like "breaking records" and "thrilling" being thrown around, which is entirely my fault for building it up too much in my head, especially with most people predicting exactly what the new thing ended up being. However, I've always really liked KD's kids area before the expansion and will probably be spending a lot of time in it with my kids turning 7 and 3 next summer. I like that the new rides will all allow both children and adults.

Did they really have to go with "World's largest Peanuts themed children's area?"

Well...it is.

Ah, I was looking for things that KD was missing, and this was the obvious one I missed. I've noticed Cedar Fair purposely targeting thrill seekers and purposely disappointing them in the last couple years. Is it to keep them guessing for when that big thrill ride actually comes, or is it the logic that any buzz created is good? If you cry wolf, couldn't that hurt the buzz building up for something that actually is big and thrilling in the future?

I believe it was KI's hype building for Dinosaurs Alive that was like "The world's tallest ___ with a second ____ towering at XXX feet, with the highest number of ____, the fastest ____, etc. You can imagine there was a mob of teens upset, swearing off the park on Facebook and forums after the announcement. I admittedly found it all a little entertaining, but I wondered how much hyping in that direction actually helped the park.

Largest, huh? So now all the other parks will suffer from Peanuts envy...

Haha, Mike! My announcement when I worked at the original Camp Snoopy on the Peanuts 500 ride included replacing the word "peanuts" with "penis" sometimes. No one can understand a thing the ride operators are saying on those intercom systems anyways, and it was hilarious to me anyways.

So, it isn't the worlds fastest wing rider? Whodathunkit?

Totally hilarious, but only if it was something to the effect of "Remember to get photos with Snoopy and all your penis friends!"
