KBF TRACK PICTURES!

LOL, 'Moosh, no one actually reads what it'll really be, it's so much more fun to wish for an ExGeF clone.
You know if it was a clone of that, there would be so many complainers about it being a clone.  Heh.
I'm just hoping Knott's is still going with the lap bars on the trains after the PP incident (lol, PP incident! )
The color is interesting, I wonder what the support structure color will be.
Can't wait for some Intamin bunny hills at Knott's baby!  Please please PLEASE be open by March 26!!   If it's not, I might have to go back for the Con and I don't want that!
PS, good to see you posting again Lynch, haven't seen ya in a while!  And it's "piqued" your interest, too.  ;)  At least I think it is...meh.

This just gives me a huge reason to get back to So Cal.  Hopefully, we shall see a decrease in lines to Ghostrider, but I doubt it.

That color is just UGLY. Geez.  They must have ran out of paint .

YA DID!!!

I like the color actually, and I think that that color would also look good at Cedar Point.

I'm not crazy about the color, but as someone else said, it will grow on me probably. Hopefully we get an announcement soon!

I think the color is pretty cool.  It looks like it could easly be themed to a beach/surfing type idea.  Also, it seems like EVERY TIME some track is spotted people automatically think it's a hyper coaster.  What is up with this?  There still are people swearing up and down that SFOG is getting a hyper, when it is a flying.  There is more to life than airtime people, get over it.

Hopefully this thing goes faster then 75 MPH. Didn't Intamin make California Screamin? That ride is REALLY smooth and the bunny hops are great.

And nasai, I don't know when the last time you went to KBF was but everytime I go, the line for GhostRider is never over 30 minutes long (do I sound mean right there? If so, I don't mean to be like that at all.)

how can you judge which kind of track it is?? All intamin square section track is exactly the same.  for example, look at a pic of wicked twisters track at the cedar point site and then look at a piece of millennium forces track (not assembeled) at gttp.  They both look the same.

"who needs drugs when you have coasters...they're like a natural high"
Take a closer look at the photos amusementparkfanatic85.  If you notice the way the track is set on the ground, the running rails are always on top (you can tell the running rails by the white stripes).  In the Wicked Twister photos, the tracks that bend, only bend in one direction as an impulse does.  Now look at the MF, and new KBF photos and you will see that the track bends in both directions.  It's clear it's not an impulse...  Everything else is just speculation.  Educated speculation that is.

I'd Rather Be Riding RollerCoasters

oh, i get it.
Also on a side note, just becuase an itamin coaster is inverted doesn't mean it has to be an impulse
Also, regarding the color i really like it.  It's a refreshingly new, unused (as far as i know) track color....i think it could possibly look bad though depending on what color supports go with it.

Does anyone ever read before posting? A few of us have already told you: This will NOT be a hyper. Think Mr. Freeze but full-circuit.

I know im a little late, but who says those rumors are true?  A few people saying something dosn't mean that that is what has to happen or that it has to be that way.  Anyone could be right.

Mamoos is right though.  However, I'm not so sure the top hat is inverted.  It may go over the top.  The one piece that would sort of defines this is a sharp over the top curve.  Unless this ride is inverted, we are going over the top, not under.  The upside, no OTSRs!

Yah...but if you've ever seen the site you'd realize that it'll need to fit in a mighty tiny spot. Full circuit Mr. Freeze makes sense.

Per California law, all looping coasters MUST have Over the Shoulder Retraints....sorry to burst your bubble...

It's just like Greased LIGHTNING!!!!! hehehehe

Racerbret:  I realize its difficult to believe someone, especially when they don't mention the source of their info.  I guess you just have to consider the source.  I admit I am not always right or been given the right info.  For example this time last year I would have placed money that SFMM was NOT going to be adding three coasters.  LOL!

But I can assure you that in this case my info is NOT a rumor, nor is it a guess or speculation.  It came from a park official and was witnessed by others in my party.  It has been verified by other independant sources.  If this were a rumor, guess or speculation I'd say so.

Yes, its true that nothing is ever 100% firm until the park makes an announcement...and sometimes even after that things change.  However I have had many different sources confirm exactly what we were told one late summer afternoon:  Intamin, sit-down, launched, top hat, overbanked turn and more.  It will NOT be a hyper in the traditional sense of the word even tho I was told the height will be just over 200'.

Show me the number from the law books, then explain to me Montezooma's Revenge.

I've wondered about this law as well, and have never been able to find it. If someone knows what section it is please let me know, I'd really like to read it.

Jeff...here's one way to explain the law and the absense of OSTRs on Monty:  SFMM is in LA County but Knotts is in Orange County.  It could very well be a County Law, not a state law.

Not to mention Greased Lightnin' at PGA...
