It's snowing!!!

I remember when Lisa Grisanti (Public Relations Manager) at SFDL stated in a Buffalo News article from last year, that a "Winter" themed park couldn't be ruled out as a possibilty for after Fright Fest since they can get that much extra attendance and revenue after the normal season is over. I wonder if they will ever do that? I think it would be really neat and interesting if they did, it would definitely be a change of pace.
HurricaneGeauga, or anyone else in Ohio, did anyone else get an instant comparision of the snowflakes to Dippin Dots? Man, I'm losing it and have only been at coaster withdrawl for about two weeks!

Marriott tried this back in the late 70s when they owned Great America in Gurnee, Il. I remember my mother taking me there in December. They had a bunch of shops open, had a few rides operating like the Columbia Carousel and gave it a Christmas theme. Only the front of the park was open. It didnt generate enough business so they discontinued it.

Why yes it is Taipan!
It snowed last night friday at Six Flags Great America.  It was SO COLD.  Almost everything was open Except DeJa Vu.  The people in front said it was closed due to cold temperatures.  The snow was not that bad, just flurries, but after getting off Raging Bull I couldn't feel my lips.
Don't know where this "Ohio winter" thing came from......it's 103 in Columbus!

I was just in the snowbelt and there must be 5 inches there, and it's only 10 miles away, and here there's nothing!
Funny, it snows in some places, wonder what that is all about...

HersheyPark has something similar to this with their "Christmas Candylane". No coasters, but they have a few ride like the merry-go-round and the train.

Flurries today and yesterday 15 miles south of Indianapolis.

Hard Freeze warning tonight, first of the season

I really hope SFGAm decides to give the Winter thing another try, It would be great to go in there with snow and cold weather, coasters or no coasters.

It was 85 degrees Wedsday, in NC. We're still wearing short-sleeves. I want it to snow!

Just a quick update on that. Two days later, it is now about 30 degrees. This sudden change in temperature is not very funny. I just ran a cross country meet in the mountains where it was around 30 degrees wearing shorts while there was snow about 20 miles west :P

Yeah exactly I hope they do too, anyways we don't really get a majority of the snow we til late December and all through January.  I think they should stay open through November and close for December, January and Febuary then open back up in March that would add 3 more months to their season.

My Top 5 Coasters:
1. Raging Bull 2.Millenium Force 3.V2 (SFGAm) 4.Viper (SFGAm) 5.Cornball Express/Raptor

it was hailing today in western new york during my xc race- nothing like hail hitting you while your running with a tank top and shorts on!!! BTW, it would be fun to ride a coaster in the snow.

Ummm, no snow yet in sunny Florida :)

I am going to Sea World on Tuesday - forecast says mid-70's and sunny.

Only three weeks until the move to PA though...

It snowed yesterday at the VT game
