It's Official, I am tired of Paul Reuben on the travel channel

He is on everything, and claims everything is the best. It got so annoying seeing him on the travel channel all week.
Lol, I would have to agree after watching those couple older re-runs of coaster shows on the other day, they guy just looks annoying, sounds annoying, etc, but hey, he is the one whose getting paid to do so..unfortunetly.
Yeah that grin is so irritating.
Get someone new to give his or her opionions on rides. Its fine to see him on there once in a while, but not all the time.

Best advice I can give ya: Stop watching the travel channel ;).

:)

how the heck did he get so much pull that the travel channel pretty much considers him (based on the amount of 'airtime' hes getting) 'the roller coaster guru'? then again, im at the same time jealous because he's all over getting front row seats on all those coasters and get to 'critique' about it on tv.

You won't see me coming...

I'm sure they could find plenty of very highly qualified individuals in the field here on Coasterbuzz.com. Or maybe at least better looking ones=)
Is this bash Paul Rueben week? A lot of topics sure are mentioning their dislike for him lately.

Anyways, I love the Travel Channel, and I don't care if they put Paul Rueben or Richard Simmons on the coaster, as long as I get to see coaster POV's, and behind the scenes stuff. If you don't like Paul's annoying comments, hit the mute button during his parts.

I think Richard Simmons on a coaster would be immensely entertaining.

Well, except for the low camera angles and those shorts he wears.

Oddly enough, I think POV is the most boring footage to watch and the mute button doesn't help that. ;)

The only enthusiast not to get enthused by POV coaster footage.

I saw Richard Simmons at the Philly airport once. It was in the middle of winter. He was dressed in a tank top and those......shorts......YIKES!

Needless to say I was traumatized for life. lol.

I watched some of the coaster shows this weekend. Despite having to put up with Paul Rueben's BS, it was great to see the coasters that I had *just* rode the week before. :-P

Miaow Moosh! LMAO!

Everybody is jumping on the Rueben hate-wagon and I have to add my .02 here. I really could care less when his parts are on the shows. I'm one of those people that thinks the video of the people actually riding the rides is stupid. There's nothing quite as boring and actually annoying as listening to and watching a person scream on a ride. I don't mind the far off shots of an entire train going through a circuit and I like the clips where the camera is mounted on the train of the coaster and you actually get to "ride it" (in essence), but those face-front views are stupid. I guess it makes for good tv when the GP sees it but for me it's a bore.

Even if Mr Reuben were to stop riding today most likely some other enthusiast with a park or coaster magazine to pimp out would take his place.

I nominate Gonch to be the official Coasterbuzz POV spokesman. That would be entertaining with him on some of those headbangers. ;)

Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.
Richard Simmons on a coaster would probably be one of the highest rated shows of all time if it was on say Spike or Comedy Central. Someone really needs to hook that up - come to think of it, I haven't seen that guy around a lot. Did he sweat his 80s too much?

-Brett, who also hates POV footage and can't stand watching coaster shows (you're not alone Gonch, surprise, surprise ... )

I'm kind of used to the guy now. :) I honestly think we'd complain about anyone that got that kind of exposure.

What ever happened to Robert Cartmell on coaster shows? Is he still around?

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!
I'm sick of seeing his fat ass riding Intamin coasters.

Well don't we all realize that he is the only one that knows how to ride a roller coaster on TV? I don't have a clue what makes this guy appealing to any network, especially when he has a face for radio. Personally I would like to see more of the men and women behind the rides, Like Bolliger, Mabillard, and the staff and crew from Great Coasters.
