Italian Job: Street Chase?

Screamscape has pix of track for the new IJ coaster at PKD, and shows where it will go (By Anaconda, I believe where the Shoot the Chutes was), and says that some of the stuff they've seen for the ride actually said Italian Job: Street Chase. Regardless of the name, I wonder if this will be a different layout, which is rumored?

But at least we do know that an IJ coaster, whatever the name and layout is, will be at PKD for next year. Now I just wonder what PCar is getting.

I heard it will be a clone of the two others, but with the Stunt Chase name. *** Edited 9/7/2005 6:46:02 PM UTC by Coasterbuzzer***
I sure hope they use a better color than gray for the track because it sure looks ugly & most likely it will be a clone of the other two, although there's always the possibility of it being a custom layout.

We'll find out for sure as soon as vertical construction(what little vertical this ride actually goes)gets under way, funny thing about the track is that it looks more like Ricochet's track rather than premier track because there's no tubular spine.

I sure hope it's a clone so we can, uh, like, complain about it and stuff. ;)

What's more interesting to me is this is launch #4 for the park (although they really are all completely different from each other). Still, a GREAT choice that will end up being way better than Shockwave.

"Would you like to buy a photo of you boys enjoying the Line Ride?"

When I was there a couple of weeks ago, the construction areas looked a little odd to me, but I've never seen a full layout of the other two. There were two large patches that were dug up and only a sort of "pass through" between them. It'd be kinda cool if they differentiate themselves.

It is grey track, and, uh, that only makes sense. It is supposed to be a road, you don't see bright colored roads out there...

You do if you're tripping on acid ;)
Are you saying that based on experience Moosh?

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.
Actually I enjoyed my ride on shockwave this year, can't say the same about anaconda however.

I noticed the crossover section you seem to describe on the concept art for the ride...does PKI's or PCW's have that as well?

^ paste me a link to the art and ill tell you if pcw does.

I'm basing that on "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas" SVLFever.
Italian Job at PKI was ok. For a small coaster it packs a big punch!. I had to wait 2 hrs for it and the wait wasn't worth it. But for an attraction to add to a park, its much appreciated.

"On wednesdays we wear Pink!"

Well of course it'll be appreciated seeing as a certain SF park two hours up north of PKD hasn't added a new coaster in going on 5 years now.

I'm looking forward to IJ:ST in 06 but certainly would enjoy it more if only it had a lift instead of a launch & was a floorless, but beggers can't be choosers you know.

What PKD really needs is a nice big hyper,I'm sure if they tried hard enough they could probably squeeze one in.

Tekno...the Carowinds announcement is set for next week.

Wouldn't be TOO surprised to find out PCar is getting something along the lines of IJ as well....not sayng it WILL happen, but it could... ;)

Well we heard it from a reliable source, Bill. More relaible than any *rumor* I had ever heard. ;-)

No, its not the IT for PCar! I can say that much!

Well... can you at least say if we will like it or not? :) Enough Hijacking. I would really like to ride one of these ITJ coasters... they seem like fun.

I only wish all the proposed effects would actually work.

Now it seems they're calling it 'Italian Job: Stunt Coaster'.

I wonder what the final coaster is called.

^Does that mean it's going to jump from one end of the track, fly over parked cars, and land on another set of tracks? Sweet! ;-)
