Is your park removing a ride?

World's of Fun lost Omegatron and got a Huss Top Spin named Thunderhawk for next year.

Actually Indiana Beach is not losing Superstition Mountain. They  are just refurbishing it.

SFKK lost Vampire in 2000 and according to www.usedrides.com, the King Cobra is for sale at PKI!

Actually they lost it in 1999 and it went to SFNE in 2000 who also lost two coasters which went to Old Indiana where they are now in storage.

They call it storage, but when it's sitting out in an open field, I call that ruining great rides.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict NO TAKERS for PKI's King Cobra.  (Actually, I liked the ride but thought the restraint system and iperations made for excessive lines)...Togo stand-ups are pretty cool IMO, and I loved the little hint of trick-track on a stand-up...SFKK's Vampire was part of the ride rotation and is now in SFNE, as Flashback I think.  As for SFoG's Viper, its next location may now be SFMM....

The Cotton Blossom, Tram Rides, The Floral Clock, Marionette Show, Pandamonium, "Fins & Flippers", Zambezi Zinger, The Incred-O-Dome, Americana Entrance, The Plunge, The Oriental Arch, Bearenstain Bear Country, Either Oar, Omegatron, Summer Spectacular, "Mermaids and Mariners" diving show

I'm sorry. I didn't make myself clear earier.
What Confirmed or rumored ride is your local park removing THIS off season? And why?

For Example, WOF has removed their Omegatron (wasen't that the name of a Transformer? Megatron, anyway) due to a recent purchase of a Huss Top Spin

Also, on a side note, why is Cedar Fair doing away with so many Summer Spectaculars?

Well WOF is removing Omegatron because it was a maintenance nightmare.  They are also taking out the SBNO Plunge finally (BTW it caught fire while they were taking it down).

As for taking out the Summer Spectaculars.  I heard something about the cost and the fact that the company who made original films were very reluctant to update them for the parks....which had something to do with it.  I know that VF, WOF, & DP are taking their's out.  I'm not sure about CP, but I wouldn't doubt it.

In 1994, I lost the old Elitch Gardens and from what I hear, two great coasters, it's too bad I was too short to ride them then and wasn't a coaster fan yet. It's like loosing something I never got a taste of.

I don't think PKD is losing anything...although I would like some things to go. "Go Shockwave...SKAT! SKAT!"
