Is your park removing a ride?

As rides get old and real estate becomes more valuable, parks will usually retire an attraction.
So, what ride did you have to say your goodbyes to before its removal This year?
For example, for Tomb Raider, I lost my Arrow Flume this year, and I hear Cedar are removing one of their bumper cars this winter....

In 1999, SFGAdv removed their Schwartzkopf Sky Pilot...I really enjoyed that ride too.  They put a poorly run Top Spin in it's place.

If you see me running, try and keep up!

We lost Seaworld :(

And about 100 parking spaces but then again, we gained a few thousand across the lake.

CP! Still the coaster capital of the world in 2002!

In 1999 we lost Python but gained an Invertigo.
The second set of bumper cars from CP is going to MA. Saw that in AB a couple of weeks ago.
SFGAm is probally going to remove PowerDive this year since it hasn't ran since the 2000 season.

-----------------

Don't forget we lost SkyWhirl at SFGAM for DejaVu.  Good trade off in my opinion, I can't ride sky rides.
Canobie is removing moon orbiters which a park in Maine purchased and will replace it with a tower attraction.

Out of the coasters i've ridden here is wat i rank them overall:(ive been to canobie lake and SFNE)
1. S:RoS 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Riverside Cyclone 4. Canobie Corkscrew 5. Thunderbolt 6. Galaxy 7. Mind Eraser 8. Dragon coaster 9. poison ivy's tangled
I heard from someone that at my home park BGT, Python AND Scorpion will be removed for the 2003 attraction (B&M hypercoaster). Except for the hypercoaster, I hope that the other part of the rumor isnt true.

GFG, I believe we'll lose Python (no real loss unless they take out Python SoftServ too!).  IOA is adding '02 or '03, Wild Adventures is adding for '02.  BGT really needs flats even worse than coasters, though.  Still kinda bummed we lost SFoG's Viper, even for a new coaster...

We're guessing Cajun (defunct) at SFGAm.
Did we hear anymore about PKD removing their Scrambler???
Great Escape lost the SkyLab the other year, and although it may not be true, the rainbow might also be on its way out. it did not run once in the 01 season, and was pretty much dismantled. but then again it could have just been closed because the entrance plaza is supposed to be torn down and rebuilt...

i was just checkin out: http://www.italintl.com/spectac/index.htm
and it they have a 'rainbow' ride listed for sale. i really hope that this isnt the great escape's rainbow. its not a bad flat ride, and really only one of the flats that i even enjoy at the park.
Well, Cajun Cliffhanger is defunct, and Power Dive will probably come out..... and the only thing in the middle of those two things is ' Orleans Grill', so that could leave a nice little footprint for something in the future :)

Tidal Wave... Sky Whirl... what's next... Whizzer?

Knott's knocked Windjammer off their perimeters this summer in preperation for their new 2002 Intamin AG coaster.
Knoebels took out Axis for Power Surge. I think they made the right choice.

movies+coasters= the most fun you could ever imagine!

Indiana Beach is loosing Superstition Mountain. But there gaining another CCI for it.

SFDL is continually losing more and more each year, more then they are gaining.

1999 - Nightmare, Boat Tag, Sidewinder, 6 waterslides, Cinema 2000

2001 - Cascade Canyon (closed down)

2002 - Cascade Canyon (demolished)

Our waterpark is struggling.... we only have 4 waterslides left.... compared to the 14 in 1998.... hopefully in 2002 that will change :-/

Do you think SF is going to just let SFDL's waterpark fade away, or beef it up in the next few years?
