Is TTD up?

The "old" way of doing it was to move one train entirely into the next block before moving the next one, which naturally, with five trains in a row, is slow. The ideal is that as soon as the second train in a pair crests the top, the two in the station roll together out to launch and standby, while the two in exit roll together into the load.

Seperating pairs to accomodate an odd number of trains would probably be a pain to program, but I do suppose it would increase capacity, since your slowest phase of the three (brakes, unload, load) is obviously the load. I thought I saw someone state they were doing that now?

From my very limited knowledge on any of this...

Hopefully now that the gold train is back on site we will see six train operation begin soon. And what we can place even more hope in is the idea of the trains beginning to advance in pairs, instead of one at a time. I'm no expert...but shuffling trains this way seems to defeat the entire need for trains 5 and 6 as it takes so damn long to move even four of them.

"Scroll buttons aww yeah...like that, heart attack."

Apparently the cable snap was between the sled and the cable, as in there was no actuall "snap", just a broken weld between the two devices. I don't know if this had been mentioned or not around here. Since that does seem to be the case, I'm not surprised it's back up and running, (minus the fake wheels, mind you).

Man, It's been awhile since I've seen that sinking-magnum rumor. I thought it had finally died off.

Like I said, after watching it countless hours, it seemed the odd train created the problem. Both times it was removed within an hour.

The gold train is on site, it was the first thing I noticed differently last Monday, besides the missing tires/ engines.

There's nothing like a woodie...

I was able to ride it twice yesterday, Thur May 29. It opened at 5:30 Pm and ran until 8 when the park closed. They have to put you in pretty tight to get the sensors to allow the car to go. Twice there were malfuctions that required visits from the maintenance dept. On one trip they measured the guage of the track. Then spent considerable time looking at the train that was not being used????Oh they were using 5 trains and they have removed the fake wheels and engines on all the trains.
Yes Jeff it is working that way now..

What's real impressive to watch is when they are running 5 train. The rides ability to shuffle the trains so that there is no longer a single train entering the station every so often. It's almost like watching waterfalls.. smooth and fluid motion..

I was just there yestereday, 5/30...

TTD Dints open until about 11:30. They were still using only five trains. I dont think we will be seeing six trains any time soon. Even if we do I dont think the capacity will go up that much.

It seems what takes the longest to launch is when they have to weight for the sled dog to return to the station.

Adding a sixth train wont make that go any faster.
