Is the Son of Beast at PKI underrated?

I dont know, but lately I haven't heard anything about the Son of Beast. Everybody's talking about Colossos, The Legend, Boulder Dash, and Ghostrider, but I hear nobody talking about the Son of Beast. Let it be known that the Son of Beast is the most powerful woody in the world. Agree or disagree?
Well, I'll let it be said that the loop is AMAZING!, i took about 3 rides earlier in the season, and 2 of those rides were jackhammer rides. the very first ride i took, however, was INCREDIBLE.
what they need to do, is fix that "low-grade" lumber issue, and get it running really well, and i'll really love it. right now, i still think it's an awesome ride. rates higher for me than some.

I agree it IS the most powerful woodie there is. And I just love smelling all that wood. It's great, I think.
Totally agree! Even though it's not as good as it's father, sonny still kicks some major butt!

I just rode SOB for the first time last week and was completely unimpressed. It’s layout was dull (helix after helix after helix), it had no airtime at all, and was incredibly rough. (I did like the loop, however)
Personally, I thought Racer was a much better wooden coaster at PKI.
I suppose that “powerful” is a good description, but as far as quality, there are many coasters that beat SOB hands down.

I have to agree that Son of Beast is OVERrated. So many of the smaller woodies (off the top of my head, the CI Cyclone, Raven, Legend, Phoenix, Twister, Villain, heck even Hurler and Thunder Run) blow it away in my book...

And that's why the phrase "To each his own" exists. Sonny is a love or hate coaster. There are coasters like Villain and Gwazi that everyone seems to at least look favorably on even if they dont LOVE them. But with Sonny, you never get an "It's aiight" reaction. It's pretty much "It totally reeks of Awesomeness" or "Taer it Down!".
Me? Only The Legend was a better woodie.

Come on people. Listen to what you are saying. I believe that we are joined on this website for a mutual reason. The love of Rollercoasters! I mean come on you can't hate a coaster or want to see it be demolished. Why can't we love every coaster? A coaster is a coaster no matter how you look at it no matter what coaster it is. I don't hate any coaster. That would completely defeat the point of loving coasters!
I love every coaster (yes, maybe even B:TR a little ;) ) except for SOB.

I agree that Son of Beast is one of the most underrated coasters out there. It's definitely the best(IMO) out of all the "big" woodies I've been on(American Eagle, Mean Streak, Hercules). I know why some couldn't like it, because SOB can really be, well, a big B%!@* sometimes. One ride doesn't do it justice. People tend to overrate rides before they get on as well so that could be it. All I know is, shorter lines for me(though this ride still packs 'em in). And speaking of a giant coaster with a lackluster layout **(cough)*Millennium Force*(cough)**

I disagree S.O.B. might be BIG and FAST but cheese n' rice it hurts like a beast ( hehe ) That has gotta be the most uncomfortable, painful coaster i've ever been on , all though i gotta admit the idea of the horizontal helix's were pretty cool :)
Koaster king - you must not have ever ridden MF have you ? well. Nevermind according to your Track record you have , but how could you think it's a bad layout what more do you exoect from a 310 ft. , 92 MPH coaster !?

Millennium Force is the greatest thing known to man. NOBODY can tell me when they got off that sucker they didn't jump for joy and give out a hoot. If any mortal is that stuck up to say anything negative aboot The Force then I want to know whats better. It amazes me how anyone can say anything remotely bad aboot The Force. Maybe its one of those "I hate The Point 'cause its The Point". Oh well turds I will be riding The Force in one week.

I think it's underrated. I didn't get a chance to ride it last year, but from what I have heard if it was as good last year as it is this year, it probably wouldn't be underrated. Maybe that is just me, my two cents.
I think it's great. It's in a three way tie for the best coaster in my book. Flame me all you want, but I think MF, Beast, and SOB are the very best out of what I have rode. I go ny fun and I had the most fun on all them.
I guess that us Buckeyes are pretty lucky to have such good coasters all so close to us.
Once again this post is just my opinion.

I think that S.O.B is the best wooden rollercoaster in the world!!!! Its speed is amazing, it maybe rough but if it wasent then you all would B***h about that. I dont understand, and Im sure that all you all put your hands up and wait in line for an hour to ride it. Where else are you gonna find a wooden rollercoaster with a loop. Ohh well it dosent have that much airtime but if you want air get on the racers. This is the BEST woodie on the planet, it crushes all other woodies around!!!
