Is SFGAM going to be open a extra weekend?? Yes!!!

I sopke to a ride op who said the park will open one extra weekend but i forgot to go to Guest relations to ask if this was true. Does anybody know if the park will be open one extra weekend??
I have heard the same thing also for the last month. If the park doesnt advertise it soon, the park will be dead if it does open that weekend. Good for us, bad for business. :)

2 superheroes in Gurnee next season? Oh the humanity. :)

I agree with yo, i will love the small crowds but hope it is warmer that it is today!! Wouls be pretty cold at night!!
Something tells me that if it does open that weekend, it will only have a 10-6 operating hour schedule. Wont really have to worry about the night time cold. :)

Well, a few SF parks have decided to stay open an extra weekend, but they announced it earlier. If GAm stays open the extra weekend, great. That all but assures us that there won't be lines. :)

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

It was rumored to be a "Season Pass Only" weekend. If they are doing this and you hold a pass, I would think you'd be getting something in the mail soon.
Actually, no season passes are allowed the extra weekend (first weekend in Nov.). It will be half-priced admission, and there will be discounts on park merchandise.
What that dosent make any sence why wouldnt season pass holders like my self be able to get in?
You would be able to get in, you'd just have to pay $20.00. I have no clue why they would be doing this half priced extra weekend if this year was so bad they couldn't even do a real Fright Fest.
They probably have too much merchandise/food stock and need to make a little extra cash before the season's over :)

What a bunch of BS --season passholders not admitted.

It wouldn't make any sense to have a "season-pass only" weekend -- they wouldn't make any money.

No season passes? Is this the first time a park has excluded season pass holders and only allowed general folks in?

The top 3 all time cobrarolls.

1)Raptor's
2)Deja Vu's (times 3)
3)Batman Knight Flight's

Can they do that to Season Pass Holders?? We payed to get in the entire 2002 season, so if they extend the season a week its our right to be able to use our pass that we payed for. Legally unless its a private party, they would probally get in trouble if they excluded season passes like that.

Stop trying to feel like you are being patronized--you're not! You're getting the ENTIRE 2002 season. This extra weekend is just that, EXTRA--it's not a regular operating day(s). And as a season pass holder you aren't excluded from coming at all, you can come and pay $20 like everyone else!--the discounts you can receive inside the park is reason alone as to why it really is a special occasion, and not a regular operating day.

Cup of coke only $1.80 instead of $2.80... let's pack up and head to Gurnee, fellow pass holders...

I was at the park yesterday, and there was absolutely no mention of being open for an extra weekend. In fact, the large sign along the highway is still flashing October 27th as the final day of the season. So I wouldn't get too worked up over this rumor.

I've heard the same thing at SFStL - so maybe it is true...

I think no season passes would be a mistake, however... if they want to move remaining merchandise, they would need as many people through the gates as they can get. I doubt that many passholders would pay extra for one more day (and I bet even fewer would pay extra to buy some cheap T-shirts...)

There was a small bit about frightfest on WGN news this morning .. The lady they were interviewing said that October 27th is the last day.

PICK UP THE PHONE!!!!

Just pick up the phone and call the park and ask them...GEESH!

SFSTL and other parks have indeed added a bonus weekend or two to help offset some of their earlier losses in the season and because the weather has been unseasonably warm in areas. They are also looking to add to their final attendance numbers before the season is over. Its a great time to visit the parks line free so everyone get out there and get some final end of season rides in!

I know i woudlnt pay the $20 to get in. If they wouldnt honor my season pass then that park wouldnt gey anymore of my money. But the pass is suppossed to be good for the entire year at ALL SF's parks so it would make no sense not to honor it as i will use my season pass to go to SFMM in Dec.
