Ive only been to sfgadv a couple times and i always went on days were no one was there
so i had a great time and couldnt wait to get my season pass this year but now with all
this talk of vandels and out of control teens im not so sure.
I agree with S,don't take everything that was said here to heart. The question was,it is really that bad? I was just stating all the reasons people find it so bad.I have been going since i was 7 years old(i am 29 now) and i love Great Adventure in all honesty.I am sure there are problems like this at all the other parks(except the crowds)but,SFGadv seems to be the only one with a reputation for it.I have only been to one other thrill park in my life and, that's Dorney so,i can't back what others have said about other parks being the same and,i can't even take any polls because of course i only know about my home park and,it would be totally unfair for me to rate mine above all others if i have never been anywhere else.Just like Rcoastallday said,we all love our home park but it's just sad that it gets such a bad rep because of it's general public. All the rides IMO are great, even GASM and Viper,Rolling Thunder,i still ride them and them being rough doesn't change my mind one bit!I was being brutally honest and i'm sorry if i made anyone mad but,i do love the park and,i still get a season pass every year because i truly love roller coasters.I have also deleted all my negativity posts because,it really isn't my nature to talk that way and,i don't mean to scare anyone away from the park,i think i just got a little angry because i can sit here and find truth in everything everyone says about it and,it's really dissapointing since they have come a long way and they really do deserve some credit for all their efforts to improve the park.

I go to SFGAm and CP all the time, being from one of the "middle class suburbs" of Chicago. I agree that the problem is sometimes caused by kids like me, but we're not the whole issue. I think the blame does not lie in one group. Everyone is accountable, and should accept responsiblity.
If you see someone do something wrong, speak up. Say something to them. If it happens enough, people will stop doing it just because they don't want to put up with other people's cr*p, you know? It'll become more convenient for them to not do it, rather than do it and get lectured.
Back to the point, I pesonally want to visit Great Adventure one day, maybe this summer if i can afford it. College students live pretty lean.

Your right staticman00 all that i have been hearing the last week or so is that sfgadv has not been crowded at all and that everyone had a great time

(Nitro can't wait)
I'm picking up my season pass this weekend at Pathmark (I'm praying they still have them!). I want to see for myself what everybody is saying. I have not been there in 3 or more years so hopefully I can see or feel the difference. From what people are saying, they have cleaned up their act quite a bit lately and besides, with Nitro, who cares about the crowds!
I went to six flags today and the lines were not bad at all. I think the longest I waited for a ride was 15 minutes. Around 2:30-3pm the lines started to back up a little. Mostly everything was a walkon though. Me and my brother got 5 rerides on Medusa this morning. We kept bouncing back and forth between Nitro and Medusa all day. The people running Batman the ride were really slow though. Otherwise it was a good day at the park. Happy Easter and Passover all.
