Yeah May 14th is fast approaching.. Can't wait...
Let's see here... In my opinion, Raging bull is more relaxing than thrilling, after the hill that is. the feeling of completely smooth gliding... amazing. I usually hit Bull last, to wind down and and get a good view of park, and because just like every ride, it's better at night!

That did not pretain 1 bit to the original question... Smoothness, definately. Too smooth? It depends on what you want from a coaster. Personally, I feel TOO safe on bull, so I guess I would have to say it is a bit too smooth.

Ok how does the ride go faster at night?? it doesnt.. But that is the best time to ride it.. I dont think if its smooth it ruins the ride.. I just think it makes me fall asleep! its soo comfortable.. I love it,, I remember waiting for hours in the rain one day ,, I rode it before, but my friends wanted to,, we were sooo soaked, everyone was screaming when they would test it! it was soo fun,, after a few hours, we got to get on,, in the drizzle.. so,, then we just went home a bit, and went back.

AMERICAN EAGLE!! (RED TRAIN)BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And jed,, the backseat doesnt go faster.. I ride it all the time,, it cant go faster than the front or it would pass it up wouldnt it?? youre thinking it cause youre getting pulled.. like if youre in front, youre getting pushed up very fast,, and some airtime,, in the back, youre getting pulled down the hills very fast,, and on that drop! ITS GOOD!

AMERICAN EAGLE!! (RED TRAIN)BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well... I'm gonna have to go against the general opinion here and say that I do wish it was a little rougher. It just seems that with a name like Raging Bull, it isn't raging that much. Maybe it should have been named something else. It's a great coaster, don't get me wrong, I just expected it to be a little more intense, I guess.

I know the backseat goes faster because the train drags the back along the ride, which makes it go faster.
He is right in some respect. Different parts of the train will experience different speeds and sensation when going over a specific spot in the track.
One of these points in the track, lets say called point X lies on the top of a hill. When the front of the train hits point X it will be decelerating due to the back still pulling it, fighting against gravity. When the back hits point X, it will be accelerating faster then when the front hit that point due to the front pulling it over the hill. The opposite will happen at the bottom of a hill.
When gravity kicks in after the train is released from the lift device, it is getting pulled more downward than upward, so the back of the train will experience faster sensations.
Does anyone know how to explain this better, like in 50 words or less?
Joe,
Thanks for explaining that to everyone. That is what I meant by the back goes faster. I'm glad someone picked up on it.

Iron Wolf can't be beat! Deja Vu and V2 all the Way!What else is there to Say.
I just wish the bull had a little more speed through it. first couple of elements after the first drop. It doesn't go through the inclined loops and the trim brakes were not on the hill after the first inclined loop.

The 'Bull' is the whole reason I'm going to Six Flags Great America this summer! Sure, those other two coasters play a bit into the decision making, but the Bull definetly looks awesome!

You build it, I'll ride it...eventually
Raging bulll is great to me its purfect in bieng smooth because you notice the intensity more Sit in the back.
The Bull was too smooth for my tastes, but I'm a woody fan who likes it rough! After the first hill, I was bored. There was reasonable airtime, but it just didn't do it for me. All my friends think I'm crazy, but I've given it a couple more chances and still feel the same way.
