I've been reading reviews on raging bull and everyone says its too smooth. It's as if there saying it is a bad thing. Do you think it's too smooth?

A roller coaster, especially steel, can never to too smooth.

I'm going on May 12 to SFGAm. I will hopefully get over my fear and ride Raging Bull. I will write back and say if it is too smooth.

The Raging Bull is really smooth. I really like the ride, but It doesn't ruin the ride. Overall the ride isn't too intense, and the only scary part is the lift and the first drop.

raging bull is super smooth and that is one of it's best qualities. I love it. Why would any coaster be too smooth? Ride it for yourself and you will see. Good Luck!

I don't understand how a coaster can be too smooth. Hypercoasters need to be tall, fast, and SMOOTH. It's what makes the Bull great.
scary? how can you be afraid of going on a coaster? :)

My pet peeve: People who post and just write how the thread will be closed. JUST DONT POST
No offence coo man chu, but not everyone has nerves of steel like you. Sometimes, even I get scared. But usually it's not roller coasters, but the lady bugs at carivals. Yeah, lady bugs. It's a carnie ride operated by carnies, and assembled by carnies, how safe can it be? The bigger the carnival ride, the more scared of it I am. But roller coasters, only my first ride of the season on a tall (over 150 feet) one scares me.
edit: Smooth, oh yes! Way too smooth? No. It can't get any smoother, but it's still not too smooth. It was designed to be like that, so it should be like that. I think it lets you notice the air time more than if it was rough. But... if it was a woodie, then yes, it is too smooth.

V2, Deja Vu... how can it be better? Add Viper! Oh, wait. It's already there!

Its a bit overdesigned for my taste, but it really kicks into gear at night. Yes, it is very smooth, a bit too smooth for my taste, but it is still a complete masterpiece. *thumbs up*

Don't touch the watch.
I have to agree with RavenGuy, night rides on the bull are a totally different story than rides during the day. It goes WAY faster, and is just as smooth as in the day. A must ride at night(If you can)

After you ride once, you MUST go for another spin in the back seat. Trust me
Goonsta,
I'm not sure if I want to ride the backseat. I think I would be too scared. I know the backseat goes faster because the train drags the back along the ride, which makes it go faster.

You relize if it did that, something would be wrong with the train? The back seat moves just as fast as the front seat through the whole ride! The train cannot travel at different speeds on different train cars because they do not have couplers that stretch and compress. Just want to point that out. I would also be scared, though, if the back of the train did go faster.

IMO, which is probably everyone's opinion also, no coaster can be too smooth. A ride being smooth is not bad IMO.
Yea my 100th post!! HAHA Sorry about that.

Cloud nine is how I would describe this massive coaster. It definitely fits the mold in the smooth category but the airtime on this beast is something that everyone should experience. It is a different bread of speed coaster.

TrBiggar,
thanks for clearing that up for me. I can't believe how many responses I'm getting. I'm so happy.

I think the responses are coming because how good this coaster is. That's why I'm responding :) Well, Raging Bull is very smooth, but at the bottom of the first drop/into the tunnle, it get's intense, and it just shake a little, but that's because of the massive speed. And for me, the front row is the place for me. Your so open, and every drop is awesome in the first row. I heard the back is good too, well any where you sit, it's a great, and very smooth ride.

Deja Vu, and V2, what more can you want? SFGAm #1

Heh, says someone who has never been past row 3. ;) I'm telling you, you need to ride the back of the Bull. Totally beats any other row for airtime, IMO.
