Is Paramount "out of touch"?

Simple, its the closest choice for many people. And they do have a lot of little kids rides packed together in a colorful area (not a lot really rides kids and parents can ride together though like a Disney Park). And they have waterparks included in the admission.

The closeness is the simple reason we go there. The parks are safe, the are not completely run down or filthy (although they are working in that direction compared to the past). They do offer a day of entertainment, but not the same quality of which they had at one time......But hey, its easy to get to so we go.

So long story short--they don't dance to your whims but keep everybody else coming through the turnstiles.

Guess they really aren't out of touch, huh?

I do agree that they would benefit from say a hyper, but take PKD for example. It is very nicely landscaped this year(compared to before at least), has a great selection of coasters, 1 of which is in my top 5, and they are taking pretty good care of their rides. Yes Hurle needs some bad work, but they retracked a large portion of Grizzly, and one side of RY. I live relatively close to BGW and PKD, thouth somewhat closer to PKD, and I gladly call PKD my homepark. I didn't even buy a BGW pass this year, because their coasters on the most part have gotten boring for me. I really don't see how Paramount is out of touch, if they are so much bette than the competition. I mean 4 of the 5 coasters at BGW have trims, yet it gets voted one of America's best parks? Gimme a break!

Ok, sorry rant over, I just had to get that out.

Did you ever think that there might be more to a park than roller coasters? And even with trims, BGW coasters are amazing. BGW has quality, PKD on the other hand has quantity.

Anyways, Paramount knows what their doing. Just because they don't add what enthusiasts want doesn't mean they're "out of touch."

Well I know BGW has just abuot everyone on the beauty and theming of that place, but they dont have as many other rides as PKD does either. And no offense to anyone, and I really don't wanna start a fight, but I think both Alpi and AC are pretty tame. I do love BBW and Nessie though, just they are not really any more fun for me than most all of PKDs coasters.

Agreed, IMO BGW is all about quality, and in every aspect possible, BGW delivers.

PKD is a nice park, would definitely visit again. But out of their whole coaster collection, only 2 actually made me want a re-ride (Volcano, and Grizzly). But BGW, on the other hand, may only have 4 major coasters, All of them leave you wanting more, and more.

Anyways, I see nothing wrong with the way Paramount is runing things, they seem to be doing quite well actually.

BGW has the best theming I have ever seen. The ONLY problem with BGW is all the hills you walk up and over to get anywhere. Its the one park that wears me out walkin in.

But their coasters are great (btw i am one of few who loved Drachen Fire, never banged on it myself) and i love going there. PKD is pretty good too. Lots of fun rides.

I just wish more of the Paramount parks had more current showstoppers like CP had MF and TTD and BGW has Alpengheist and AC. PKI tried with SoB, but I dont think it lives up to the hype they created. But i have faith in PKI and beleive they are changing their ways.
