Is it possible to make a launched wood coaster?

jmstuckman..i know that Excalibur at ValleyFair has steel rails, just like Gemini....as far as a launch wood coaster...its a good idea, but it really would take a miracle of engineering to pull it off...but it would definitly be a worth a shot... :)

Uh, I meant that as a joke. Gemini is not a wood coaster. Nor is Excalibur. What I meant by wood coasters being unlaunchable was the whole tight and accurate clearance thing. I'm not sure if it would be practical to build such tight clearances into a woodie. Wood track (or at least the structure) is supposed to bend and flex, to a degree.
