Is Adventuredome (Circus Circus) in its final days?

On December 29, 1976 I was at Walt Disney World. During the previous three days the big story in the Local News was the turning away of people visiting WDW because the Parking Lot had filled up. When my parents heard they didn't turn Bus Tours away they signed us up for one and away we went. I was fearing the worst regarding the crowds. We got to the park and SURPRISE! WE PRACTICALLY HAD THE PARK TO OURSELVES! All of the rides were Walk-On, including everybody's Favorate, Space Mountain.

The next day they were turning people away from the park again!

Las Vegas Blvd. is always busy regardless of the time of year. The casinos just aren't as busy as peak. Heck there were even less foreigners handing out porn cards on the sidewalks this time! And less people trying to sell Grand Canyon helicopter tours, too.

They may be picking up now that it's Christmas/New Years. But, last week was not bad at all!

Then there was th $170 car rental to get out to Buffalo Bills...check! One more credit down.

Taking the shuttle bus from The MGM Grand would have really saved you some money. I think it was 15 or 20 bucks a person round trip and the bus driver was cool. Desperado worked us over pretty good and we loved it! ;)

My family took the trip to Wild Adventures in 2002 and we were the only people there beside 2 teens. It was AWESOME! *** Edited 12/24/2006 5:24:22 AM UTC by DantheCoasterman***
I stopped by Adventuredome on Thursday and the park was busy. While Las Vegas was slow this week, Adventuredome had extended 10:00 am - Midnight hours posted on the board for the entire week.

I get the feeling this park is a cash cow. They get a lot of foot traffic and their operating costs are likely very low in comparison to other parks because of the limited number of attractions. I can only think of three attractions that require more than one operator.

The attractions at Nascar Cafe and NYNY were also extremely slow, but open. I did not bother to ride anything at any of three places.

The park is part of the hotels/casino/s experience. Even if it's a money looser park wise, It may make it up in it's draw.

Kids, go have fun, Mom and dad are going gamblin.
