I find that the Interlocking Corkscrews are not as intense as this type of element. The Interlocking Vertical Loops provide very unique Head Chopper effects that you don't get with any other type of element. When I was growing up I was always scared of the Head Chopper effect The Orient Express had in its interlocking loops. To this day I still love The Orient Express as my favorite ride.

I also think a cool element would be a corkscrew threading through a loop. Corkscrews tend to be smaller, require less speed and are now placed toward the end of the ride, so a coaster could be laid out with the loop as one of the early elements, and the interlocking corkscrew toward the end.

LNM does not need a lift to do the entire track (if the trims are turned off before the tunnel) and the reason the trims are there is because when BGW runs three trains then it is paced so two trains meet up at the interlocking loops, so there is enough clearence.
While this is true, I was quite disappointed this past season to find that Loch Ness' primary lift was running exceedingly slow for some reason, which meant the first train was always running late for the meeting with Train 2 in the loops. It was usually just entering the first turnaround as the second train was executing the lower loop.

Those corkscrews give me airtime, but not from negative g's. They go through so slow you fall out of your seat from being upsidown so long!------------------
The only difference between stupidity and genius is genius has limitations.
Umm, I hate to get *techie* on you, but you are NOT experiencing "negative" g's. You are simply feeling gravity, positive as it were. Since you are falling towards the ground, it's simply the work of gravity. Again, techincally speaking, at the top of Arrow's so-called 'tiny' loops there are much stronger negative Gs than on the *big* B&M loops that have "hangtime".
Of course this all depends on your chosen frame of reference.

But it seems to be a little too much trouble for what amounts to an element that is for spectators only.... the loops feel the same to the rider.Someday Den....hopefully not anytime soon, we'll get "old". Those of us with grandkids may take them to the park. The *scary part* though is that we may have decided that we can't ride any more for one reason or another. At that point, we become (gasp!) spectators. Don't underestimate the power of those who come and only watch, there are LOTS of 'em...which is part of the reason I'm such a theming geek...gives the "non-riders" something to look at, something to do, while the rest of the family is in line...IMO, it makes a BIG difference...
