Did anyone else notice that on any Intamin Hyper/Giga train that the lapbars made no clicking sound when being pulled to your body?
I noticed that last year on MF. It's probably the same technology as their Anti-Rollbacks.
I noticed that on MF but I ignored it because I was to excited to ride Millennium Force :)

i think the lap bars are airlocked. they are the same ones on the SROS. i dont really care cause i know they stay locked plus i always have the lapbar real loose. im relying on the seatbelt pretty much to keep me in.

They are also like that on the OSTR's for Volcano.

My favorite Coaster is named after Poop, and I actually like Boomerangs! What is wrong with me?
Same with Vertical Velocity at SFMW & SFGAm.

They are just like the restraints on S&S Freefall rides. No clicking sound. Pretty sure its done by an airlock system

I notice the same thing about Mf it dident faze me it just seemed a littel hard to pull it down becuase i was weak due to the heat at the time.
I love Intamin's restraints because they will lock anywhere, instead of ratcheting into a few positions. This provides the perfect lock for your style.
I agree with pkitex87, they are the most comfortable and easy to work like most roller coasters.

I also like MF and V2 restraints all coasters restraints should be made that way.

Yes, the unique thing about Intamin lapbars are that they can lock in any position. There are no fixed positions.

Your best? Losers are always whining about doing their best...winners go home and ******* the prom queen.
To my knowledge, Superman The Escape was the 1st coaster to use this pneumatic technology. Its great. Like others have said, you can stop it in any position. Very comfortable.
On some of the newer intamin freefalls, I know that it won't lock until it is pulled down to a certain position. The reason is quite obvious. I've never ridden an INTAMIN coaster before, but I can imagine what it would be like having a lapbar/OTSR that locks where ever it is. That would be awesome. Just don't pull it down too far, as it won't go back up.

Yes I think they're airlocked, which gives them an infinite adjusting area. I don't like Magnum's lap bar because it's weighted down and pushes right up on you.

If you wanna dis me, then go knit a seater... or somethin' like that...

I don't know for sure, but don't B&M hypers use the same thing? I don't remember any ratcheting.

Every ride needs these lap bars. Very well designed.
