Intamin Impulses

Are they very loud ? Worth a 2 hr. wait ? What is the Acceleraton rate of the train on the first launch ? And on the first launch do you go all the way up the twist ?

Kinda, yes, dont know, no :)

Not extremely loud.  Not as loud, at least, as I've heard that TA200 is.  I think the ride is an amazing experience.  Totally worth a wait, but 2 hours?  I don't know.  Is anything worth a two hour wait?  Spidey, yes.  Fomr my recollection, the train doesn't go all the way up the front spike until the second launch forward.  Halfway on both the first and third.
I don't think I would wait two hours for anything.

If you don't want to wait more than two hours for anything, I don't suggest visiting CP.

Impulses are sweet.  If you have never been on one, I'd wait for it.

What are you kidding? Any new ride at any new park tends to have a two-hour wait. No other park I've been to has the uptime and capacity that CP has. I never waited more than an hour for any ride last season.

I've been on V2 at sfmw and its not worth a 2 hour wait but it is very good. When the breaks come down it gets kind of loud. The frist launch is only like 35mph and doesn't get very high on the spike but impulses are very cool.

When will they get rid of the grizzly
LOL! Blind_4_u!!!
The loudness is cool because it sounds like people screaming. Vertical Velocity at SFMW has this shed to the left of the launch area, so it echoes. Hopefully, they don't butcher the ride too much with whatever they are modifying on it.

Anyways, the lines are rarely two hours. The longest I've had to wait was 45 mins, and that was on the last weekend of the Halloween festival.

I've ridden SUE and I loved it, maybe that was because it was a walk-on for all seats except the front and back.

Sorry Jeff, I'm not kidding.  I've never seen S:UE with a 2 hr. wait and I see the ride 5 days a week in the summer.  I'm sure there's been days when the line was close or maybe up to or barely past 2 hrs. but on average, you won't wait more than 30-45 minutes for it.
You say you've never waited more than an hr. for anything @CP.  Then you must not visit that place during the summer.  I've been there weekdays and weekends and if it's between June and August, it's hard to find a line for a major attraction under an hour or two or three.

weekdays vs. weekends, I'll go to a park on Saturdays only for special events...and when hell freezes over!  S:UE wasn't exactly the ONLY new coaster at SFWoA when it debuted, and that makes a HUGE difference.  I waited about 2 hours for PKI's Face-Off, the longest I've ever waited for any ride...INCLUDING Spidey...and Drop-Zone was added the same year.  I expect waits for WT on a Saturday during the middle of the season to be interminable..

P>hen i've been to SFoA, i've had to wait 5 minutes or 3 dispatches to get on S:UE.  You should probably pick a better day there Jeff./P>
P>FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffffff">Intamin Impulses are not very loud at all.  Most of the time, the sound isnt even noticed.  I would have to say its about the same as any other coaster out there.  First launch usually only takes you up 1/3 of the tower.  Once the train reaches it's top speed the second time up, you get as far as you can go.  The launch is 35-40 mph.  The train then reaches its top speed going back through the station.  If you plan on waiting 2 hours for it.  I would have to not advise not to.  The line moves slowly NO MATTER HERE YOU GO.  The station is where you will wait the longest./P>

I've been to CP on both weekdays and weekends every year for the past 6 years. The only time I've waited 2 hours for anything in my life was MF in 2000 and even that was just over at about 2 hours and 20 minutes. I think a handful of times in 1995 we waited a little over an hour for Raptor and possibly that long once or twice in 1996 when Mantis opened. Other than that I've never waited more than an hour for anything at CP.

I'm not sure there is any ride worth a two hour wait. I can barely stomach an hour wait. I'm a huge enthusiast but I'm not stupid.

In 2001 we hit all the major orlando parks, BGT, Wild Adventures, Kennywood, SFWOA and the only wait over 45 minutes that we had was for X-Flight. Am I just lucky? I never see lines at any park like everyone on these forums describes. Heck I've even walked onto Spiderman and had the ripe op give a car to just 4 of us.

Gotta love the insane screeching sound that the LIM's make on the takeoff!  It really pumps you up!  Suddenly, all you hear is "BREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Whooooooo-wheee does that get you going!

One time, a lady was getting out of the SUE train, and fell out as she came off. She was laughing, so I dont think it hurt. But you do got to jump to get in the seat, unless your really tall.

Actually I have been to CP. And if you are really wondering, in my two and a half days there, I never waited over 30 minutes.
