"Steel Stampede" sounds like a kiddie coaster to me. "Renegade" is OK, but "Storm Runner" seems best for a lauch ride... especially one with a lightning fast lauch. Still I think "Storm Rider" would have been even better (fitting with the horse/western thing).
Anyway... the layout looks wild. It's too bad about the over-the-shoulder restraint thing. You'd think they would have learned something from the rehabs on the Premier launched rides (Flight Of Fear, Mr. Freeze, B&R The Chiller, etc.)

Steel Stampede -- The steel descriptor *is* overused. Further, Stampede is used in Port Aventura's Stampida. I like originality in my coaster names.
Renegade - HersheyPark isn't badass enough for a ride named Renegade. It's too tough for the park and, otherwise, just sounds funny. What, is this ride a renegade among HP's lineup? Whatever.
Storm Runner - Too similar to DisneySea's StormRider, for starters. Also, I consider it ironic since this coaster will obviously not *run* in any *storm*.
But then, I've been a bit underwhelmed by the entire announcement. The rocket coasters just don't get me excited to ride them.

RollerCoasters aren't my whole life... they just make my life whole
After this, I don't think it would be best to go with Storm Runner...but yeah, My opinion.

Then you must just cringe when you think of Six Flag's naming conventions...

Oh yes. Six Flags' makes me want to cry when I think about the way they name things. It's a nightmare trying to explain to friends why Superman ride at Six Flags New England is the best steel coaster I've found, but that it's entirely different from the Superman coaster at Great Adventure which is a bit like the Batman coaster at Six Flags America, but not quite. But, of course, it's nothing like the Superman coasters at both Worlds of Adventure and Fiesta Texas.
See? I'm already tearing up. Ugh. It'd be almost okay if they named clones the same thing, because talking about Batman: The Ride at one park versus another still offers a chance at a real comparison. But, beyond that, it's a headache.
For Hershey, of course, the number of people who know of Stampida is probably about the same as the number of people who realize Great Bear is the best B&M inverted coaster in the world. :)

Storm Runner was the best of the three IMHO, but it's not the name that matters anyway in the end. I mean, Lightning Racer is kind of a *blah* name but it is a KICKASS coaster and one of my favorites. And who can forget the SooperDooperLooper? Awesome coaster, funky name......who really cares in the end right?
Whatever the name will be I can't wait to try it out.

A bright red rocket coaster named Storm Runner - there's nothing western about it.

Lightning Racer anyone?!!
Wood - anything else is an imitation
Second, I agree that the Steel "thing" has been done, especially in PA with Steel Phantom and Steel Force. I mean, the steel industry is dead in PA; can we get over it?
So, I went with Storm Runner.
Still can't quite understand its place in the park, nor which 3 rides it "interacts" with. Maybe on my trip in 2 weeks I can better understand.
