Indiana Trip....????

Realy the two galaxy coasters are fun to and one of them has no lap bar what so ever.

Actually there is only one SDC coaster (Galaxi). The other one without the seatbelts is Tig'rr which is an Anton Schwarzkopf Jet Star.

You can hear the laughter, you can hear the mighty roar. From the brickyard down in Indy to the white Chicago shore. It's a rollin', twistin', turnin' and might we both suggest. You get you fanny ridin' on the Cornball Express!

No, IB does not have any free soda but their soda isn't $3.00 a piece either like Six Flags parks. I think the overall atmosphere of the park is one of the greatest things, the fact that it is completely surrounded by water can really keep the heat from getting to you and you mentioned Cornball and LoCoSuMo, but there is one other CCI that tends to be overlooked that really is a great ride. Don't overlook the Hurricane it may not be the most airtime driven coaster but it has a few unexpected laterals some great drops over the lake and in the back seat late at night (another advantage seeing as HW is not open to past dark) when the coaster has heated up you can get some great pops of air and the bridge over the lake even becomes a great headchopper. And the ride is real smooth for a wooden. Oh and Galaxi can really catch your stomach on it's big drops, and Tig'rr has one insane turn with no restraint so it's not just LoCoSuMo and Cornball, it's like a whole town (stores shopps etc.) with coasters and rides running all around it.

You might want to take a look at our calendar...we're open till 9 pm this week (and other weeks in the season) and 10 pm on Saturdays.

They're both great parks!

IB is open until 11 P.M. on WEEKDAYS (where there are VERY small crowds) through most of June, all of July, and most of August. For price, the only thing IB is missing is free soft drinks, but you won't pay 3 dollars like some parks. IMHO, I'd prefer IB over HW any day. I went to HW and had a very good time, rode everything and darnk a lot of soda, but after 5 and 1/2 hours (including 45 minutes at the gift shop) I was really ready to go to the hotel, I was almost bored. Last year, I had a 2 day trip, and at the end of the second full day, I did NOT want to leave. I could've rode everything again, it was all fun. You could spend MUCH more time at IB than at HW without getting bored.

Agreed! Gotta say, there is something about those Indiana woodies, they just run WILD....:)

Don't take my posts the wrong way Paula, I understand that IB has been around for a while longer and their expansions are not anywhere near as spectacular as HW's. HW is a great park, just spectacular I'm sure, but it's just that it is more "run of the mill" but you don't have the advantage of a peninsula on the lake or a large boardwalk.

I apoligize I was not trying to bash HW I definately think it's worth the trip I was just differentiating the two so that he did not overlook IB like he started in his original question. He seemed biased to HW and he hasn't been to either IB or HW so I was just pointing out positives in IB, it would be a very long post if I had to point out the positives for HW as well.

No need to apologize. I just wanted to point out that we do have times when we're open past dark. (Other than Stark RAVEN Mad!) :)

Our park--and our hours--tend to skew toward younger families, which is the market we focus on attracting. So we realize that some teens (such as Raging Rider) will get "bored" here.

There's room in this state for two great parks... Viva la difference!

I'm just back from IB and HW. They were both fun though very different parks.
