Indiana Trip....????

I'm going to Cali to Knotts and Sfmm later this month and even though I'm excited. I'm already looking towards next year. I told my mom about a trip to Indiana Beach/Holiday World. Since I am from Ohio, I figured it wouldn't be that out of the way...I guess I was wrong. It looks like it will be 7/8 hours to Indiana Beach. Then from there, 6 to Holiday World. Then after that, another 7/8 to get home. I dought my mom will support this idea and I was wondering if you guys have a better coaster trip or maybe an easier one.

We were thinking about Six Flags New England this year but that fell through after we got tickets for our 2 week trip to Vegas/Cali/Cruise down to Mexico/Knotts and Sfmm.....lol.

So I thought maybe next year we could go to Sfne, Sfgadv, and possibly Kennywood/Hershey/or Knoebels. I was hoping on Kennywood even though I've been there a couple of times. I just wanna ride Phantoms Revenge/Jack Rabbit all day. This trip would be a bit longer, but it would be free of charge at all of the parks except what ever our 3rd park is.

I was also thinking about Michigans Adventure, but that would only be if they get something new next year because it seems a little out of the way.

If you can think of any other good trips from around Akron, Ohio and visiting 2-4 parks but probably 2 or 3. We'd like to save money though considering this huge West coast trip will drop us to the ground. Thanks.

MIA isn't as much ot of the way as HW if you took an IB/MIA trip.

Yeah i was thinkin that but i just don't want to miss out on HW if I do go to Indiana. I meant cmon free drinks and parking...lol. My mom will definately love that place.

Does MIA offer anything like that.

HW, SFKK and PKI are within 3.5hrs of each other.

Chuck, just a suggestion

Lesourdsville Lake, The great American amusement park opens the season June 6th Thurs-Sun every week. Park phone is (513)539-2193

Kentucky Kingdom doesn't seem like worth any trip at all. We went to Pki in 2000 and I don't know if we'll be visiting unless they add a coaster.

MiA and IB are about 4.5 hours from each other, depending on traffic.

-----------------
It's 106 miles to Indiana Beach. We've got a full tank of gas and a half-full cooler of cokes. It's light, and we're wearing Disaster Transport 3-D glasses....hit it!

Always leave the negative opinions from the critics at home and form your own opinion. With that said, if you havent been to SFKK before, even if it gets negative reviews, you should still at least give it a chance. So in conclusion, why not try these parks since you have done PKI before.

HW, SFKK, and Lesourdesville Lake Park.

I've heard of Lesourdesville but never really knew what was there. What do they have?

Well, IB is 7-8 hours away, but if you want to make the trip there, you'd have the choice of going to SFGAm or MiA. Also, when I went to Kentucky from the absolute NW corner of Indiana it was less than 6 hours, and considering the time it takes from my house to IB, a trip from IB to HW would be more like 4 hours.

Boy we have some small minded peeps around here. UGH

Anyway Lesourdville Lake is not worth a trip by it self but its great to take some time out during the day at PKI and going to Lesourdsville for a couple hours. Its less then 30 minutes from PKI. Anyway they have a very unique John Miller out and back woodie, the Screechin' Eagle that gives Cyclops air on every hill, along with a Pinfari Zyklon.

What about any east coast trips. I know my mom would wanna go to a Six Flags park but only if they have a good coaster. That's why we went to Darien Lake a couple of years ago. That's also why she wanted to visit Sfne for their S:ros. I don't know what would be the best trip though becuase I'd like to go to Sfne, Sfgadv, and Kennywood. But I wonder if any of you would think about another Pennsylvania park. Or maybe even another Six Flags but I don't think so considering we've been to Sfdl, and Sfa has pretty much the same S:ros, and we have X-flight 20 minutes away.

Wait a second. Is it 6 hours from HW to IB? I never realized they were that far apart.

While Holiday World looks like an outstanding park with outstanding coasters, the problem with them is they do not have the single position lap bars, don't overlook IB it really is a lot better than you could possibly imagine. The single position lap bars allow for insane airtime and the boardwalk will appeal to any mother (believe me a LOT more than a few free sodas) My parents both absolutely hate amusement parks and were really not looking forward to a trip to IB but they have already asked me if I wanted to go back next year because they had just as much fun on the boardwalk as I did on the coasters.

Does IB offer anything like free pop/parking???? Knowing what I do know I would rather go to Holiday World, but I know nothing about IB except that its a boardwalk, the have Cornball, and they have The lost coaster of superstition mountain. Holiday World just seems better but I don't want to start any debates or anything considering I havent even been to either.

IB has free parking and In My opibnion is the better park. Sure HW has two of the best woodies on the planet but thats it. The atmosphere is nice, free pop and all but there is not much there to spend more then a couple hours for unless you go to the waterpark.

IB on the other hand has 5 coasters, 1 of the best woodies on the planet, an S and S Double Shot, the original shoot em up dark ride, a great atmosphere and cheep prices. I could spend all day at IB. HW on the other hand is better suited for a SFKK, HW all in one day trip. Excpet for SRM of course.

If we do go to Indiana I know my mom will want to go to HW too. So maybe even a 4 park trip which might include Cedar Point too. We'll go to Cp anyway sometime next year as we always do, but it could happen I guess.

I have been to both parks and i would say go to IB. They have alot more flat rides and 3 CCI's. Realy the two galaxy coasters are fun to and one of them has no lap bar what so ever. Alot of good food, and great atmosphere. I can't wait to get back up there in a few weeks

I have these same debates with myself all the time. I've not yet been to alot of parks, but I plan to go to all of them eventually. I've always had a great time at a new place just because I'm experiencing something new. I'd flip a coin and head towards any park. You can catch the other ones later. Your doing new things and I think that is what is important.
