If you had to remove one ride from your home park-- Which one would it be?

SFA: Blizzard River - replace it with a ride that actually get rideres wet, not dizzy!

PKD: Shockwave - How about a frisbee-type ride?

Hershey: I'm okay with taking out Tidal Force as long as it is replaced by a Huss Delirium! (check out the cheezy ad) But I rather aim for the older waterslides (Straight shooter and the other one)

BGW: They dont have a whole lot to begin with and cant afford to take much more out.
lata, jeremy

My dilemma would be which ride to remove from PKI, due to the fact that I can think of about 10-12 rides I'd like to dump. Obviously, not all are coasters, but a few are.

Don't get me wrong! I do love my homepark, but some rides should've never been built, (Face/Off, SOB, FX Theatre, go-karts) and others have outlived their usefullness, (Vortex, Viking Fury, Scooby Doo/Phantom Theatre).

And as Chuck has already made clear, the flyers should've never been given away, as well as, Kenton's Keel Boat Canal, and The Enchanted Voyage/Smurf Adventure. Lastly, KI should've never caved to the pressure years back and took away the Saltwater Circus, (Dolphin/Sea Lion Show).

CP: I'd remove Disaster Transport

GL: The bad rides basically have been removed, but I'd agree with Grizzly Run as Well.

SFOT-Easy one take out the Flashback.
At Darien Lake, Probably Predator. It was a toss up between that and Mind Eraser, Predator just happens to take up more space.
T2 at SFKK. Why they keep that POS, who knows... I guess they're getting good business in the meds department. ;)

Ride count on the Voyage: 40 Most consecutive rides on the Voyage: 36 Day after thigh bruises from airtime: Priceless

jshorerzd said (Motion theatre at Dollywood): Although I agree that the current feature used in the motion theatre is OLD (and Cleotus is annoying, not funny), they could do an update instead. It was fun the first time, but they haven't updated it since its arrival (like Carowinds has done).
For me, it's not the film, I'm talking about the building/ride itself. I want the damn thing imploded...it looks so ugly compared to the rest of the park.

The current film ("Smoky Mountain Wilderness Adventure") was made in '02. When the ride opened in 1996 it had the film "Thunder Road" which was based on the movie of the same name.

BORG from Carowinds. What a waste of space.
I second that - for reasons I've stated elsewhere. ;)

Demon at SFGAm. The tunnel with the lights rarely works and they cant even run water on the rocks anymore because of the fatigue it puts on the structure. I enjoy the ride but it has to go.

There are two types of people in the world. People who like coasters and idiots.

I could do without Boomerang at WOF as long as they add something cool to replace it. I consider WOF my homepark but my actual homepark Fun Plex (waterpark) just needs to add a coaster any coaster.

That's my point exactly. I agree that it didn't catch on very well. And there's enough room there for something.

I'll take a second on removing Demon Drop at CP, but I'd have to disagree with taking out the Mantis (aka Man-Hater as the saffers affectionally call it). It's a different ride expirence.

Another one I wouldn't mind see go is CCMR. Granted it's historical, but it's PAINFUL to ride.

It wouldn't have been X-Flight.

I would pick GL's Mind Eraser. That thing just hurts.

Home Park: Hershey Park.

Ride I would remove:

Either...

"Flying Falcon" (Condore Ride). Okay ride, but suffering from lots of down time the past coupld of seasons. Nice footprint for a free fall tower of some sort.

-OR-

"Roller Soaker". Okay, I know its unrealistic, but I am sure that the space this "gimick" takes up could be put to better use. However, by looking at the obscenely long lines for this mediocre (at best), I guess my opinion is not shared by the masses.

And Arson wants to remove Tidal Force, an extremely popular ride on hot days at HP, and now it's a part of the Boardwalk. Yeah, that makes a whole lot of sense.

I don't know... when the general public finds out there isn't a huge wave pool attached to the Boardwalk, I think they'll flip. The "Bayside Pier" that they're cramming in isn't going to replace a wave pool, and honestly, Tidal Force is way, way too big. I'm not opposed to a shoot-the-chutes ride, but something more in line with what Kennywood has, height-wise, would be fine.

SFA -- Mind Eraser. I'd replace it with a B&M invert :) also remove ToD and replace with an S&S tower.

KD -- Hypersonic or Shockwave. Replace with something higher capacity or more fun and comfortable, such as a HUSS giant ride or a family spinning coaster.

BGW -- nada. They already removed the Le Mans Raceway for Griffon. Good idea.

HP -- Sidewinder. Replace with a family spinning coaster, a HUSS giant ride, or even a Vekoma Invertigo.

Dorney -- replace Hydra with a better B&M :)

SFGAdv -- good job with removing Viper; I wouldn't pull anything else major out; they already took out freefall--good job; now replace freefall with an S&S tower or an Intamin gyro drop, and please fix Rotting Lumber

coastin' since 1985

I'd have to agree with Hostyl on that one as well.

There's nothing worse than having to stand in a 45 minute line for a ride in 80 + degree weather that should get you wet only to come off of it high & dry.

As far as Cedar Point goes, Mean Streak I think would be the most efficient removal. It takes up a ton of space and is just a horrible ride. It seems to have problems with design as well. Disaster Transport maybe too, i'm not sure how the capacity of this coaster is but I remember waiting longer for this than I did for Wicked Twister, which just seemed plain wrong. I don't know about the Mine Ride....I enjoyed it but it's getting old and Cedar Point has plenty of coasters that could be considered family/intermediate. It also seems to take up a large chunk of land that could be used better.

Corkscrew takes up like no space and has a decent capacity, so that would be kind of pointless to remove.

SFMM- Now that Psyclone and Flashback are history, I'd have to say that Superman's time has come. The ride was phenomenal when it first opened, when it actually ran up to speed and the whole "WOW!" factor was still there. Now it runs slow, has terrible capacity, and is quite the bore... plus it's ugly and loud and a maintenance nightmare. Time to go. *** Edited 3/12/2007 5:27:40 PM UTC by Dusa65***
If you raised this question 3 years ago, I'd say get rid of Whirlwind and replace it with another coaster and a classic flat or two. :)
Starchaser: You're nuts if you want to take MS out, UnLESS you'd replace it with another woodie. If anythings are overdue to go bye-bye out that place, it'd be either DT, DD, or CCMR!
