If you had to remove one ride from your home park-- Which one would it be?

Ninja - Six Flags Over Georgia
Hersheypark - Sidewinder (Vekoma Boomerang) is showing it's age, and it's location would be a prime spot for a Gerstlauer spinning coaster, or Screamin' Swing. By the same token, removing Tidal Force (built at a time when tall water rides meant something) could be replaced by a really-for-real wave pool for the Boardwalk area opening up this year.

Dollywood - The motion theater, one of the least popular rides. The huge building stands out like a sore thumb, and the ride itself just doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the park. If the building could be demolished, direct sunlight would hit the ticket booths area again.

I wouldn’t replace it with another ride. Probably a restaurant or something that fits with that area of the park.

Penguin's Blizzard River at SFA. Either get the water effects working right or pull it. Otherwise, what's the point? And you can get something really cool in that footprint.
Kings Island

Remove Beast
Add Flying Scooters :)

Seriously, what will you do with the rest of that space. Imagine KI minus #666. It would make many of us just pass by that park on our way to Sandusky or Santa Claus.

I guess you are just trying to be funny. *** Edited 3/11/2007 11:47:35 PM UTC by Arthur Bahl***

Carowinds: You specifically said "suitable for adults". Well, we're allowed to ride the Rugrats Runaway Reptar Vekoma Junior SLC so there's one answer.

But keeping in the spirit of the question (ie: not kiddy rides) I'd torch Hurler and build another midsized woodie, preferably by Intamin or GG.

SFOG? Not really anything I'd remove. Ninja sorta sucks but it's not as if Snyder would build a floorless there or anything so it might as well stay. The last thing I'd do to either park is remove flats, they're hurting for them as is.

All of you SFMM fans, what would you remove next now that Psucklone and that other bad coaster are gone?

As for CP, is there anyone out there who believes that the best place for Mean Streak is on a gigantic bonfire?

Don't you love it when people come up with versus threads? For example, Austin mentions taking out Joker's Jinx, my favorite coaster at SFA ever since the S:ROS modifications. So I don't like him.

And Arson wants to remove Tidal Force, an extremely popular ride on hot days at HP, and now it's a part of the Boardwalk. Yeah, that makes a whole lot of sense.

Seriously, I don't dislike anyone, but this thread is going to go downhill (pun intended) fast.

I look at this matter from the point of view of what is good for the park rather than what I dislike. The only non-upcharge major ride at KW that I haven't ridden is King Kaluha (I just think it is too intense for me) but I wouldn't want to see it removed because it provides great thrills for those who want something that intense. It fits with KWs image as a park with a good assortment of thrilling flat rides.

The whole idea of getting rid of a bad ride is to make the park better. Sometimes this involves replacing the turkey with something better or more appealing. Other times, as is the case with those two coasters at SFMM, its just good to be rid of the bad rides so that the park's overall image benefits and the operations and upkeep of the better rides can be improved. *** Edited 3/12/2007 12:35:52 AM UTC by Arthur Bahl***

Italian Job.

And those POS gokarts.

It is sort of a "wish list" thread actually like if you were asking the opposite. I guess from Dorney, The wild mouse kind of sucks but it fills the spot for a small steel family coaster. *** Edited 3/12/2007 12:34:44 AM UTC by P18***
I guess GTITS would now be my home park (if distance is the determining factor). Not knowing what they will be re-opening with, I can't make a good opinion on that.

Dollywood - The motion theater,...

Although I agree that the current feature used in the motion theatre is OLD (and Cleotus is annoying, not funny), they could do an update instead. It was fun the first time, but they haven't updated it since its arrival (like Carowinds has done).

I agree that the HURLER must go! I belive it would be smart to leave it up to KK to keep their redundant coaster and get rid of the Hurler at both Carowinds and Kings Dominion.

BORG from Carowinds. What a waste of space. I'm tired of gimmick coasters like these and as time passes, the walk-on lines (that are prevelant on Vortex-standup coaster) will prove me right.
^ I actually enjoy Vortex... I look forward to the airtime hop after the loop, its actually quite nice... *** Edited 3/12/2007 1:12:17 AM UTC by jshorerzd***
I'd rather see Corkscrew removed before Mean Streak at CP.

As far as Kennywood goes, now that Carpet is gone, I'd have to pick Wipeout. I'd take the Curve back over Wipeout any day.

While I would take the Curve over Wipeout, I love Wipeout, and loved the Flying Carpet even more.

"You seem healthy. So much for voodoo."

I could see the Wipeout going to make room for a different flat. Then I could see it coming back sometime in the future. KW often does that. Bayern Kurve could also return and another flat could go to make room for it.

Just because a ride goes doesn't mean that it is a bad ride. Sometimes its just a matter of putting in something better or offering more variety over a period of time.

Actually there's really not much you could stick on that footprint even though there's a big empty plot of land just to the north.

For some reason I just don't think that ride caught on very well....the queue is almost always entirely empty save for the final turn before the station entrance.

CP: Mantis.

If it weren't for being a stand up and painful, I'd love the ride. But ow.
