Icon or other designation

Jeff,

Several times I've been surfing threads and really liked someone's ideas and went to check their coaster history only to find out they're not a member. Now, I know how you feel about keeping everyone feeling like we're on a level playing field here, and you don't want non-members to feel alienated by the members. But is there a way you could put just a small icon next to the members so we would know without having to click "info" to see if someone is able to post a coaster count? Just to make it easier on me. :o)

I like the idea of being able to distinguish between members and non-members. Both the icon and screen name colors would be nice additions.

Why would you want to know who is or isn't a member? Why do you need to know who can add to their count? It makes no difference to me...

Well, if people are curious and want to see users' track records, then having the icon is a quick and easy way to see who even COULD have a track record listed.

Yeah, I get that. I'm just not that interested in what others have done, I guess.

I've looked at a few, but it doesn't really affect how I regard what the person has said/posted. The quality of comment is usually pretty apparent without the extra info.

I agree with you that a track record or club membership doesn't reflect the quality of posts. It IS an interesting feature suggestion, though, that SOME people might find useful.
