I meet James while we were at KD. Seems like a nice enough fellow. I see that Danny Biggerstaff was also mentioned in the article.

The reporting was horrendous though.

Before you can be older and wiser you first have to be young and stupid.

Wow. I honestly have no desire to keep riding one coaster over and over and over and over and over again. Not even El Toro.

James sent me a friend request on Facebook oh-so-long ago, and I've been seeing him update his I-305 stuff. It's a tad hardcore, that's for sure.

Edit: Holy cow, that reporter is God Awful.

Ive located words:

I guess we have found 2 who arent complaining about

1) restraints
2) grey out
3) Trims

Or if they are.. its very contradictory of the situation.

It's that World Coaster News dude (or whatever the hell it's called). I seem to remember that we poked fun at him years ago around here and pissed him off. Funny to see he's still at it.

Now I don't feel so bad when I go to CWonderland and take a dozen or half dozen rides on behemoth.

Ask not what you can do for a coaster, but what a coaster can do for you.

He sounds like a bad intern on midnight local radio.

Okay guys, next up we've got the Crue! Comin' atcha from radio WDKD, this is the Tool Man...

You're being too kind.

I've kept my opinion of the CWN dude to myself for many years. And I plan to continue. It's one of the few times that 'If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all' keeps ringing in my ears...

Intimidator 305, the new coaster for Kings Dominion in 2010, as many of you well know by now, has become so popular in the past month of its operations, that it is drawing coaster enthusiasts, and those who just love this particular coaster.

I could, you know, decide to read, as it were, this entire article, as you well know by now, written and submitted, ever so dutifully, to CNN iReports, and begin to translate, for those drawn coaster enthusiasts, here at Coasterbuzz, who just love this particular Article.

Ugh, this is why I'll take crappy and slanted "professional" reporting to "citizen journalism" any day. That was awful.

Well I must admit I stopped the video 1/2 way through and read the text. (which didnt make it better).

For all I know the video ended in a rick roll. :)

I cracked up at this comment in the chat section.

"I guess this is one way to pass the time when you are unemployed, or between government checks."

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

I was begging for a rick roll halfway through the video.

I like the reporting. It gives me confidence that I am doing a halfway decent job when I write a news story. ;)

The one thing I don't like is the comments on the video page. Someone who gets season tickets for a MLB team goes to 81 home games a season if they go to every game, that is 243 hours of watching baseball at an average of 3 hours per game. That wouldn't be seen as abnormal or obsessive but if someone said they spent that much time riding coasters, they would be told to get a life as one of the comments said.

Same for me, Nitro is one of my favorite coasters and even then I have never ridden more than 6 times at once or more than 10 or 11 times in 1 day.

I'm with ya there. I've only marathoned a few coasters, at Cedar point during a photo shoot, and I had a great time. The problem was that I wouldn't have been able to take even one more trip on Magnum (I rode it 13 times in a row), and I had to get off of Mantis a few cycles before everyone else because I was feeling like I was going to hurl (rode it 8 times in a row, iIrc).

Not that I care for baseball, but thats a hard comparison. You arent watching the exact same game every time. Nor are you going to the game to say Ive been to x games a year, and let me try and get just 1 more in to hit 305 games..

Im quite sure if someone misses a game or two their "goal" isnt shattered.

Not to mention, most baseball fans don't have Facebook pages devoted to how much the "GP SUCKS".
