I have been given a choice by the folks--
This summer, I can choose to either go to PKI or SFGAm for two days.
I have never been to either park. Which would you go to, if you could only go to one?
I have been to SFGAm and I think you should go there. The ride on Raging Bull is one of the smoothest hypercoasters out there. They have the pretty good viper. Good Thrill giant drop and an all out good family atmosphere.
I haven't been to either, but I think that SFGAM looks a lot better than PKI.

Six Flags Great America is great! I choose this park because it has a wide range of cool coasters. So far, definatelly the best, Raging Bull. Batman is cool and so are the woodies (American Eagle just has something about it...like you go back in time while riding it?! It's strange :) ) Go to Great America! They are also getting those two new cool coasters this year!

well it all depends on your tastes. if youre into woodies, PKI is definatly the place. but if steel is your bag, hit SFGAm. personally pki is my place to be, you'll never find a better night ride than the beast. but that's just my opinion....

Steel aint better, wood forever!!

Listen to me. I have been to Kings Island many a time, and will make my maiden voyage to SFGAM this year. I say go to SFGAM. Definately. Every KI coaster is rough. Everyone says Viper is very underrated. If this is true, then it will whoop the Beast, the most overrated ride in history. KI is very beautiful, but it almost seems like its fake or something. Like they are trying to be an "old time" park such as Hershey but they just have that cheesy industrial feel. It still a fine park, but from experience, I wouldnt recommend going if you had a choice of those two.

Goose go to SF Great America! Way better than PKI. Don't waste your time with PKI.

I've never been to PKI that's why I don't have an opinion about it. SFGAm is my hoe park, so thats what I will go with. But if I went to PKI it might change, but I don't know. Great America is pretty nice with the wide variety of coasters. The Raging Bull, Batman, the Eagle and even the Viper are all great coasters. Plus there are 2 new ones coming this year, and ask anyone here that the nicest employees are here. Come to Gurnee, Illinois and visit SFGAM.
GREAT AMERICA, it's my home park and it rules! Raging Bull, the smoothest B&M out there. Viper, my favorite wooden coaster. Try to get the back seat. The best seat in the house! Airtime galore. Demon, my favorite arrow looper(usually a short line too). Batman:The Ride at SFGAm is the best version out there. Bottme line, go to SFGAm!

2 for 1 in 2001:SFGAm all the way!!
2002:CPs year 2 rule!
Ok, for I thought I'd put some of the main attractions at PKI and SFGAm head to head and see who comes out on top.....though granted in my opinion only
1.SOB v. Raging Bull- RB wins
2.Beast v. Viper- in the daytime, viper, at night, Beast by a little, so lets call it even
3.Racer v. Eagle- though backwards is pretty fun, the eagle wins, if for nothing else than the awesome first drop
4.Drop Zone v. Giant Drop- Drop Zone
5.Vortex v. Shockwave- Vortex, though shockwave has a better first drop, it is a pain to ride, and at least vortex gives some air
6.Outer Limits v. Demon- tough one, OL would be a pretty good ride if not for the head banging, but I'll give it to OL anyway, because demon is so short
7.King Cobra v Iron Wolf- here, Iron Wolf has a much better layout, but it is, in my opinion, the most painful coaster ever made, and though KC does suck, at least it doesn't hurt u too bad, so it wins
8.face-off v. super invertigo-ok, so i haven't ridden the super invertigo, but i can only assume that something which is "super" is better than something which is not, so it wins
9.Adventure Express v. Whizzer- AE is a pretty unique and cool ride, but the whizzer is just....well fun, and one of a kind (almost) at that, so it wins
10.Congo Falls v. Splash Water Falls-same thing
11.PKI's flume ride v. SFGAm's flume- i believe that PKI's will be new this year, but will have a kind of kiddie theme, not sure, but i know that
SFGAm's are some of the larger flumes around, so they win
12.Top Gun v. Batman-for a suspended, Top Gun is pretty good, but against Batman, there is no comparison
Some intangibles- SFGAm also will have a twisting impulse coaster, which PKI really has nothing to put up against, SFGAm has better flat rides, better food (yum, funnel cakes), and overall better atmosphere, though PKI has better kiddie stuff and a waterpark. But all things considered, the final tally is-PKI-6-SFGAm-10-so SFGAm wins conv渀挀椀渀最氀礀
I would definitely go to SFGAm. Raging Bull and Viper are both great rides. I like PKI's woodies and the Vortex, but the lines were outrageous when we went(2.5-3 hours for the Beast).
SFGAm... no contest.

In all fairness as it goes to wait times, I have been to SFGAm when there were some ungodly lines, and for just about everything at that. At the same time I have been to PKI when the lines have been pretty short (10 min for beast!), so i'd say in that catagory they are even
From what I understand, the only reason why you would want to go to PKI is if you are a history major.

What is life without geniuses?
Kings Island, no doubt! Oh wait, nevermind...I meant SFGAm. ;)
Seriously, SFGAm is a better park. It just has more attractions, better coasters, etc. I think you like SFO, and SFGAm is like a "better run" SFO. That is, it has many kick butt rides, but they're operated properly.
Go with SFGAm, dude.

Millennium is spelled with two N's ;)
Go to PKI.
If you get sick of riding the rides you can always head over to WaterWorks(water park)its free with admission to PKI.
I like PKi. Ive never been to SFGAm before. But im welling to try out there rides before judging.

Thank you much.
Yes, I am a BIG SFO fan (my home park since birth) and I probably will end up with SFGAm.
PKI seems to have the two Beasts, and Vortex drawing me, while SFGAm has Bull, Viper, Shockwave, Whizzer, and the new super Invertigo luring me.
Thank you for all the feedback
I'd say hit Kings Island.

Oh heck with it. Hit 'em both. They are BOTH great parks. PKI for it's sheer beauty. Trees help ALOT. And PKI definitely has a lot better trees. But if you could go to ANY one park go to Cedar Point. The single best park on the face of the planet. (My opinion of course.) :)
