I found a Mean Streak petition!!

Yeah, well,... no.

It's truly remarkable that anyone would want that wooden junk over an RMC or new ride. Thankfully, no matter how many people sign it, Cedar Point is going to carry on with their plans.

I enjoy Mean Streak but I've seen this coming for some time and when the survey marks were found earlier this year gut feeling I knew the time had come. They should just be glad it's getting a proper send off and we'll get a chance to say goodbye. That's more than we got when Cedar Fair closed Geauga Lake.

I love the folks who think all they need to do to change the world is start a petition.

All the idiots that signed that need to go out and ride an rmc coaster to see what they are missing. I've ridden 4 rmc coasters and every single one of them is better than any coaster at CP.

I can only hope it comes with a bran muffin.

They'd have better luck with a GoFundMe for the ever-growing (and increasingly worthless) maintenance budget on MS....

Can we create a petition to counter this one, it would be far more successful!

There is no such thing as a terrible Coaster just ones that haven't been taken care of

When the Coney Island Cyclone was scheduled for demolition there was an aggressive campaign to save it. Was there also a petition? I don't remember. Not that there's any comparison. The Cyclone is in a class by itself. Mean Streak is the height of mediocrity. On my first visit to Cedar Point it was closed for the season but was open on my next visit so of course I rode it and it was a colossal disappointment. Despite that I rode it several more times only b/c it was the only thing at CP that had no wait, lol. Good luck to the folks with the petition to save it; I sure as hell am not signing.

There is a huge difference between the work and credibility of petitions put together in the mid-70's and one from the online, social media age, where any booger picking 12 year old with a tablet can start one and sign it 1000 times.

Yes. There's a huge difference between a petition that one has to expend effort on and a petition that requires a few clicks.

Then again, I'm the geezer that doesn't care for online greeting cards, for the same reason....

I remember the e-card fad in the late 90s and early 00s. I even remember they had "Will You Marry Me?" e-cards which always fascinated me.

Will You Marry Me e-cards? Really? "I love you so much I want to marry you, just not enough to actually look you in the face and ask you to marry me."

Will you marry me-cards

Disk-os and super loops are my favorite coasters.

A search on the googles shows this is still a thing:
