Just when you think Mean Streak didn't have any fans....Look what I found on Twitter https://www.change.org/p/cedar-point-keep-mean-streak-operating?recruiter=581198249&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=sh
It's truly remarkable that anyone would want that wooden junk over an RMC or new ride. Thankfully, no matter how many people sign it, Cedar Point is going to carry on with their plans.
I enjoy Mean Streak but I've seen this coming for some time and when the survey marks were found earlier this year gut feeling I knew the time had come. They should just be glad it's getting a proper send off and we'll get a chance to say goodbye. That's more than we got when Cedar Fair closed Geauga Lake.
All the idiots that signed that need to go out and ride an rmc coaster to see what they are missing. I've ridden 4 rmc coasters and every single one of them is better than any coaster at CP.

When the Coney Island Cyclone was scheduled for demolition there was an aggressive campaign to save it. Was there also a petition? I don't remember. Not that there's any comparison. The Cyclone is in a class by itself. Mean Streak is the height of mediocrity. On my first visit to Cedar Point it was closed for the season but was open on my next visit so of course I rode it and it was a colossal disappointment. Despite that I rode it several more times only b/c it was the only thing at CP that had no wait, lol. Good luck to the folks with the petition to save it; I sure as hell am not signing.
