Hypersonic XLC

On the PKD website under Hypersonic XLC it now says Hypersonic XLC testing continues instead of it being temporarily closed. Check it out... This may be a sign that the ride will finally open soon:)
I heard July 1st but who knows. I also noticed it only said testing yesterday.
Well it's a good sign and I hope H:XLC will be running when and if I ever make it down there later this summer.
Yes, it should probably be open soon, its going to be a pretty sweet ride.

Can we change the name of Top Gun to your mom so no one wants to ride your mom?

Am I assuming that alot of you haven't been on it yet? It was running last summer at 5+ hour wait.

It is extremely LOUD and ear piercing especially when you walk the midway..and it can be heard ANYWHERE in the park!

the ride was ok..but wayyyyy too short.

I was on it last year and enjoyed the ride, the only thing I didn't enjoy too much was the extremely long line.

I hope they get it running reliably and at full capacity because I don't want to have to endure that long wait again.

Why is it closed? Is it just a maintenence problem or did something really go wrong with the ride?
I kind of liked it last year when it closed down because you can get in the line and have a small wait when they reopen it. I know if they get this thing running constanly the capacity will go up and the wait time down. I never thought it hurt at the top of the hill like some people said, I would have been happy to keep it the same because it was still awesome.
Last year I rode it with an hour wait... GREAT ride!!! Its so insane.
That was the trick last season. Wait until she broke, get in line, watch testing, on in an hour. Once a line formed, that was it man. 20 people get between you & a train & you were there all year.

Pain? At the top of the hill? What changes have they made that would change that? The restraints look the same. I didn't feel pain. I felt joy, but I didn't think there were really comfort issues feeding changes. I don't know how needed the foot & leg restraining is, but then again I don't design rides. A similar caliber launch out west seems to think grabbing you by the legs isn't needed to hold you in for launch & vertical climb, but then again, what do I know.

I only got to ride it once last year, we sprinted to it at opening. They were still testing when we got there. I was on in about 20 min. after opening.

"Nothin wrong with a little airtime"

I was there last Friday (6/14) and it did not test once that day.
I experianced no pain when I went. I went on twice. Once was on the first train of the day. The other was right after it broke down. I got on in a twenty-five minute wait for the front again.

I have heard from Guest Services that the ride *should* be open on the 19th or 20th of June. Yes folks, that's tomorrow! Please note that they put emphasis on SHOULD be open. That's great news.

Also, they have some new headrests for the ride that also include a contraption most likely used to keep your body upright. It is a padded type object by your shoulders.
