Pain? At the top of the hill? What changes have they made that would change that? The restraints look the same. I didn't feel pain. I felt joy, but I didn't think there were really comfort issues feeding changes. I don't know how needed the foot & leg restraining is, but then again I don't design rides. A similar caliber launch out west seems to think grabbing you by the legs isn't needed to hold you in for launch & vertical climb, but then again, what do I know.
I have heard from Guest Services that the ride *should* be open on the 19th or 20th of June. Yes folks, that's tomorrow! Please note that they put emphasis on SHOULD be open. That's great news.
Also, they have some new headrests for the ride that also include a contraption most likely used to keep your body upright. It is a padded type object by your shoulders.
